1.) Once LC is out, will we be allowed to use the Base-Rocket counterparts of the cards in the set or must we use the new cards?
2.) Will Pokemon Power's be changed to say: "This Power stops working while ______ is Asleep, Burned, Confused, Paralyzed, or Poisoned" or will they say "This Power stops working while ______ has a Special Condition" ?

Here's the answer:
1) Yes you can, this is from Wizards' policy on reprints in Magic
2) We will have to see it for ourself...

I agree with Veghetto, as if it says if ______ has a special condition, new players might think then that Char will be a special condition, when it would not be.

just 1 question why breeder... i can already for see breeder in almost every deck... if u want to evolve why use the old 1st stage when u have 4 breeder... think about crobat 2nd turn... kingdra 2nd turn... hmmm wonder what ruling on genetic memory will be... anyways yeah... no... i know i'll have em in phlosion deck... hey but i get my old friend charizard back so all the little kids can druel over my reverse holo charizard while i go "ohhhhh that's a pretty card huh?" and they go *slurp* "yes, sorry for slobbering all over it though." lol

C'mon folks, ask a more legitimate question that "will the new cards have the special condition ruling." Sheesh.
Here's a MORE important question; what kind of backgrounds will the cards be on? The original style or Neo?

I'm guessing what you mean by "wonder what the ruling on Genetic Memory will be" is whether it can use Seadra's attacks even though the it didn't evolve from Seadra. This has already been ruled and the answer is it cannot use Seadra's attacks because Kingdra did not evolve from Seadra.

I have a feeling that they will be on Neo backgrounds, since why would they convert back to the old ones when they new ones have been here since late '99? But then again, this set is kinda an oldies set, and for that they might go back to the original blanks, kinda like how they would play old music at a 1952 class reunion, or something like that... ![[Roll Eyes]](../tcg/rolleyes.gif)

well, the neo backgrounds are good and modern, but if WoTC feels a bit 'nostalgic' then expect the oldies.
i myself prefer neo over base/jungle/fossil backgrounds. i'm more of a 'modern' guy myself.

When I told my local card shop that LC is coming out around May 24, they said their distributors told them that LC won't be shipping until early June. Is there an official release date yet for LC in the US?

Key word here is distributors. According to the stuff our store recieved from Wizards the LC will be shipped to stores on or around May 24th. Any distributors will recieve them then and then will send them out to the other stores making it early June before they get them.
Anyway DMTM do we get make-up cards for the ones we didn't get over the weekend? Are you going to tell us 3 today or just 1???

If you look in Wizard's online store they have pictures of LC Booster Packs and Boxes.
Right now it says if you pre-order, you should receive the product on the 27th!

yes, but I couldn't make out what the thid Poke. on that pack was. It looked like Midreavus, but I know that's not right, can anyone else see who the third poke. is on the booster pack?

Here is What I Found On The Packs... I Enhanced the image resolution to 2400 DPI
Packs from left to right, Images from left to right and top to bottom
Pack 1
Venasaur, Charizard, (Last One Is Covered)
Pack 2
(Appears to be Flareon), Vaporeon, Jolteon
Pack 3
Mewtwo, (Dark) Blastiose, Alakazam {ok With The Post Right Above i have to say it could be Machamp instead of Blastiose, although i can make out what looks like the water cannons on blastoise)

I am glad to see that Legends collection will be out soon..... but there is a mistake on the Wizards Store website. The date given for delivery is March 27, 2002 ![[Devilish]](../tcg/graemlins/diablo.gif) not May 27, 2002 for both the boosters and sealed boxes.

You can see that it is Machamp better here:
There are many possible choices for that Mewtwo that is showing, ranging from Base, to Movie, to Nintendo promos.
Also note the Pigeot.
I guess that means that today's card is Pigeot.
