I was wondering if anyone had how to divide any of the Theme decks into 30 card decks to show kids how to play. I looked throught the stuff I had and I know most of the decks had directions on how to divide them into 30 card decks. I could do it myself, but I figure if I can find the way that was recomended originally for any of the decks it would probably work better then what I do. So can anyone help me?

Farbsman, the only theme deck that I know of that was intended to be used for two 30 card decks was the original started deck. All the other theme decks I believe were put together with the sole purpose of making a 60 card deck (or kindling).

I could be wrong, but it would be the first time this year [Wink]

For teaching new players how to play, first they would only need to learn the basics of battling: Starting up a game, starting a turn, using Trainers, attaching Energy, Retreating, Discarding, Attacking, the process that goes on between turns, and how to win a game.

So, basically, cards that don't really fit in well with starter-level decks include those with Powers and Special Condition-inducing attacks. Special energy and Stage-2 evolutions should also be left out of the Starter level, they involve more advanced strategy than new players should have to bother with when they're just learning how to play.
