I was wondering if anyone had how to divide any of the Theme decks into 30 card decks to show kids how to play. I looked throught the stuff I had and I know most of the decks had directions on how to divide them into 30 card decks. I could do it myself, but I figure if I can find the way that was recomended originally for any of the decks it would probably work better then what I do. So can anyone help me?

Farbsman, the only theme deck that I know of that was intended to be used for two 30 card decks was the original started deck. All the other theme decks I believe were put together with the sole purpose of making a 60 card deck (or kindling).

I could be wrong, but it would be the first time this year [Wink]

For teaching new players how to play, first they would only need to learn the basics of battling: Starting up a game, starting a turn, using Trainers, attaching Energy, Retreating, Discarding, Attacking, the process that goes on between turns, and how to win a game.

So, basically, cards that don't really fit in well with starter-level decks include those with Powers and Special Condition-inducing attacks. Special energy and Stage-2 evolutions should also be left out of the Starter level, they involve more advanced strategy than new players should have to bother with when they're just learning how to play.

Archetypes? What, is originality becoming obsolete?
