I just bought some international boosters from Target today that had the W Dark Arbok and Rapidash e-card promo. I'm not sure if these packs also have Ho-oh e-card promos.

Weird... they were selling Base, Fossil, Jungle, Base2 packs in bubble plastic packs (still wrapped in WotC Boosters) in combinations a few months ago at my local store...

These came in a blister-like (hard plastic) sets of:

2 international boosters (base/fossil) with the Rapidash promo

3 international booster (base/jungle/jungle) with the W Dark Arbok promo

Both sets sold for 3.99 each

I've also seen these at Target, but with WotC Southern Islands cards or League promos (Flying Pikachu) as the "promos".

What I find interesting is the way these are displayed: there is ANOTHER prepack of cards, this one done by WotC. This one comes with three different NEO boosters (Genesis, Discovery, and Revelation) in a cello bag w/ printed cardboard backing (with League info on it!)...but this one is on the endcap with the other card games in the toy dept. The package of 3 NEO boosters is $3.99.

anyway, just another downward trend in the value of my Pokemon promos. [Roll Eyes]

who knows. maybe someday well be able to buy the BZ Winner promos for dirt cheap too. So, maybe we ought to sell our extras NOW before someone de-values them. [Frown]

Personally, I'd advise against that.

Everyone selling their stocks at once was one of (if not the) cause of the Stock Market Crash of 1929 (which lead to the Great Depression). I figure dumping extras would do something similar to Pokemon.

I guess the answer to the question about the "value" of the cards depends upon the reason you collected them in the first place: for fun, to "catch them all"...or as an investment?

Well I never really cared for the value of the cards, though it is nice knowing you have some super duper expensive card [Big Grin]

But will they host battlezone? Nooooooooooooooooooo! [Wink]

Yet again we see the delicate balance between something to collect and a game.
