...and a new one begins elsewhere.

Goodbye old Pokegym #2.It`s been a great ride since we came over from the first version of the `Gym and now it`s time to move on.A huge thanx to the MT`s,especially DMTM since he was the sole reason the Pokegym was reborn here for the second incarnation,WotC,and all the members of this community that made these boards happen.I`m glad for all the memories I will have from this board and I look forward to Pokegym version 3:The new beginning.

See ya boards!

::Chrisbo breaks out the broom and dustpan...::

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said in a dozen other places? It's been an awesome ride and I've met so many wonderful people along the way.

Now it's time to find a new beach to hang at. SURF'S UP @ http://PokeGym.Net [Cool]

Thanks to you all,

But - have you been here since the BrokawMon Center -- or the website run by some kid in suburban Ft Worth TX?

Looks like we're in good hands with Nintendo -- the Organized Play guy - Jimmer Sivertsen is a good guy.

It kinda makes me want to grab a copy of the book Goodnight Moon and rewrite it as "Goodnight 'Gym". But then again, "Goodnight 'Gym" might not be quite right, since there's a new 'Gym. (And I don't have a copy of Goodnight Moon to work with anyway...) I guess these 2BA Master lyrics will have to do, since they're all I can find:

I close my eyes
And I can see
The day we met
Just one moment and I knew
You're my best friend
'Do anything
For you

We've gone so far
And done so much
And I feel
Like we've always been together
Right by my side
Through thick and thin
You're the part of my life
I'll always remember

The time has come
It's for the best I know it
Who could've guessed that you and I ...
Somehow, someday
We'd have to say goodbye.

You've helped me find
The strength inside
And the courage
To make all my dreams come true
How will I find
Another friend
Like you

Two of a kind
That's what we are
And it seemed
Like we were always winning
But as our team
Is torn apart
I wish we could go
Back to the beginning

The time has come
It's for the best I know it
Who could've guessed that you and I ...
Somehow, some way
We'd have to say goodbye

Somehow today...
...we have to say goodbye

G'night WizPoG.

Yup,I was there. In the beginning,I didn`t have a computer,so I was only a lurker.I would go down to the local library and read everything whenever I could(you werent allowed to do e-mails or post from their computers). My search for Pokemon at that time only produced two places. The Brokamon Center and Pojo. Finally,in November or somewhere around there, I believe of `99 or `00(forgive my bad memory),I got a new job that not only had a computer, but also internet access.Damn straight I signed up(I believe it was the Pokegym at that time).Been active ever since.

Well, this is the end of an age. I've already made one deck in the new age over on the new 'Gym (look for the fast food pun) and have adapted to the new environment.

*Tips his hat* Here's to you, Pokegym 2. Looks like I'll find my old roots and just be the Patriarch for 'Gym 3. Sheesh, who thinks "True Lord of the Pits" is a long name? [Wink]

... darn, I'll have to train my Internet Browser to go somewhere else now. For years it has been coming here as soon as the computer boots up. I'll see you all in the next chapter. The story continues ....

I admit I never really post much in this community, more of a lurker... but it sure is a good one with some good people as staff. So long wizards, it has been a fun ride!'

I think I said all my mushy stuff [Wink] in DMTM's thread...it's been fun, and an experience I'd not have traded for the world. It's the game that got me here, but the people who kept me here; hope you all come along to the new 'gym [Smile]

*takes her prancing Pikachu for a last walk around WizPoG*

Wow, first time I've ever actually seen that guy. oO() And he spelled it right, too.

Attention, HO-scale passengers. The dining car is closed. Root beer is still available, but the cost is now six-fifty. If the passengers will look to their right, you will see a sad man. That is all.

"And so, the curtain closes on another forum. However, another time, after the spotlight had faded from WotC, DMTM, and MTM...

...In another place and another time... a similar band of forumer had come forth, equally unsuspecting of their other selves, and life went on as they strode out into the great unknown.

But, that's a story for another day. For now, I shall put down my pen."
