How does one volunteer themselves to help run a GC, SC or other similar events?

Well, for GCs, getting in contact with the TO is a good start. Contact the person involved. For SCs, well, just keep an eye out. I'm sure something will pop up on the list.

Hopefully the TO for the GC/SC will use the Professor List to get in touch with the local professors and ask for volunteers. That's what happened before the WCSC; all the California (and perhaps Nevada and Arizona?) professors received an email from the TO asking for volunteers. Those interested replied, and the TO filled his staff with those professors.

Alternatively, the TO's webpage is usually linked to the Gym Challenge info on the official list, so one can always contact the TO and volunteer.

Hope this helps...
