This is not suppose to be viewed as a poll. It is just a question post where i want to se peopels opinions on this. If you fell it needs to be locked go ahead. I apoigize if this is seen as a poll.

Now on to the question:
What decks do you see to rule new modified??

I see grass, physciuc and fire being 3 big ones. i see crobat running wild and not much phy unless somone decides to run a mewtwo killer or slowking wall.

Thats my opinion. So,what do you think will rule new modified??

I don't know if there will really be a dominating deck. Most all of the good decks have good decks to counter them.
Grass is weak to Psychic (Espeon, MP Mewtwo, etc.) or Fire (um, duh). Psychic is weak to itself and Fire is weak to Water (Kingdra anyone? [Devilish] ) Water is weak to Electric (NR Raichu, Ampharos/BS Zapdos) or Grass (Crobat, Venucenter, Promo Scyther, Jumpluff... forget that last one [Bored] ) Electric doesn't make that great of a deck but it is weak to fighting (Light Machamp, um... can't really think of any good fighting [Confused] ) and then fighting is weak to Psy. Dark has advantage over Psychic and Metal has advantage over Grass but weakness to fire. There seems to be balance in the new format, but I could be wrong.

Well, I think that Entei/Magcargo will be the dominating deck in new Mod.
But there will be others like the Venucenter, Slowking/Umbreon, Steelix, Crobat, and maybe Kingdra will be around.
However, I think that Gatr will not die out.
There will probably be some discarding trainer to keep it alive.
But, the one thing I want to see is the return of Haymaker! [ROFL]

My 2 cents

I think it will. Even if people continue to use it one of two things will happen: It will be too slow and be killed off fairly easy by Venucenter, Big Fire, or Pichu or it will use Parasect and deck out. Gatr is just too slow to really do anythingin MMF. Although Entei/Magcargo (maybe with Fire Recharge Typhlosion*) will do really well.

*I've seen a MF deck use Entei/Magcargo/Typhlosion deck do really well (except against Pichu) and it woulnd't be hard to make into MMF especially if they re-release Breeder.

How about Charizard/Entei?
Maybe the zard can finally do well in a format.
You may be right Chris. Gatr does die out without Trash exchange and it loses speed crazy style.
I hope they reprint Arcanine though!
Its my favorite fire and it could do really well without a major water deck around(kindra could be powerful though).
Well there goes my Slowking/Dark Golduck deck(unless they reprint it!).

Since this not really a topic that is specific to the Professors only, I'm going to move this to TCG News and Discussion. Thanks for understanding...
