Topic: Professor's Destiny Box Glitch?

Hehehe, only I'd notice something like this...
But get this... I think there's a sort of small glitch in a few Destiny packs. Not so much with just a few random packs, but maybe a few random packs in EACH box that the Professor's got. Now I don't know if this was intentional (I doubt it), but at least two packs per box have both a holo rare and a shining rare in them. I first noticed when I opened a few packs from the top of my box and out stuck both rares. I thought it was just me, but someone else opened up their packs and out came the same thing.
Not that this is a really big deal (me thinks the "error" is just Wizards doing something to "make up" for the holo-rare rotation that was the hot topic a while back)....
Did anyone else get something similar in their boxes?

I did too Nick, I opened a Dark Feraligatr and Shining Mewtwo in my first two packs. Weird huh?

I got Shining Mewtwo and Dark Typhlosion...
Then Shining Raichu and Dark Scizor...
THEN Shining Tyrannitar and Dark Donphan!

I noticed that as well when I pulled a Dark T-Tar with a Shiny T-Tar. I spent the whole trip home trying to remember if Shiny cards came with regular holos or not...

I spent the whole trip home trying to remember if Shiny cards came with regular holos or not...
I thought about that too, but when I opened my other packs, there was just the Shining Pokémon and nothing else.

Well..having opened 20 boosters in the box, I have 4 Shinings and 6 Holos. (Two Shining 'tar, 1 Raichu, 1 Mewtwo). Although by the law of averages the rest of the box will probably contain jack, the temptation to open instead of selling is overwhelming me.. ![[Devilish]](../tcg/graemlins/diablo.gif) I think my box probably comes into the 'special' category ![[Smile]](../tcg/smile.gif)

I ended up with a 14 holo box. I opened one pack and got a dark amphy and a shining noctowl. The total number of shinings was 5. 2 noctowls, 2 celebis, and one tyranitar. I guess I really feel sorry for anyone who doesn't get a rare in their booster.
I really starting to wonder about this. Did wizards intentionally put a shining and a holo in a few of the packs? Or is this just a strange coincidence that came out of the less than 12 holo controversy?

I must have gotten my packs from the bottom of the box, then:
12 packs
4 Reular Holos (t-tar, Miracle, Dark Gengar, and Lt. Dragonite)
2 Shinies (Kabutops and Celebi)

It wasn't just the ones Profs. got. At least one of the ones that was a prize in a booster draft had a Light Dragonite and a Shining Raichu. The kid was sooooo jazzed. ![[Big Grin]](../tcg/biggrin.gif) I think it was something about the recent production runs. Some of the boosters in Gym also had extra energies (12th cards). Dodn't affect the draft, but when I ended up with 43 energies in a 40 pack draft... ![[Confused]](../tcg/confused.gif)

I've heard of this happening alot even outside of tournament prizes but I've never acctually seen it happen. out of the 2 boxes of destiny I got I think one had 12 holos and the other had 11

I wasn't there to get one of these boxes, but I have seen a box glitch before, but only once. In a box of Gym Heroes I purchased many months ago, I got around 20+ holofoils in it. A few of the packs contained no rare card, a couple contained rares, but the rest were holofoils.

I just went to a local target and happen to buy a pack of Neo Destiny cards. In the pack I just happen to get Dark Feraligatr and Shining Celebi . That was great and I hope the next time I buy a pack hope to have the same luck.

Weird but true. I opened a booster yesterday (bought at pokeorder) and got a Shining Celebi and Dark Typhlo. But I also got a Shining Steelix without an additional holo in the same order (I bought 20 boosters)
