Okay, I finally passed the test. I only got the minimum score of 35, so I'm obviously still clueless with some of the card rulings. The other 2 sections of the test weren't so bad. So that said and done ... what is the next step? Am I going to get calls asking to help judge local events/tournaments? Not knowing which card scenario questions I missed, can I still be an effective judge? Or were the test questions very extreme examples that we'll probably never come across in a tournament. I remember reading somewhere that we can submit playtest reports. How does one go about doing that? I'm very much interested in promoting TCG, but I'm not sure what I can do. I'd appreciate any ideas or help the Professor community can offer.

First, congratulations.

Now, will you get calls? Maybe. I haven't gotten any yet, though. You can make your services known to those in your area that run events. That would probably work best. Especially once they put the added K rating for having a Prof as a Judge into effect. I imagine that TOs will want that feature to increase the interest in their events.

Regarding card rulings: Well, the examples on the test are actually similar to those that you will run into in real life. You can print out a copy of the master rulings or the Compendium to have with you. You don't have to have all of these ruling memorized. In practice, just take your time and read the cards slowly and think it out. That solves most ruling issues.

The best thing I have found out that helps on being a effective judge is playing a lot and running tournaments. Pratice makes perfect as they say. [Angel]
