Alright lets see if we can get this perfectly straight.

I use double gust. I choose Player 1 Team 2. Now does that player get to choose to gust one of my or my opponants benched pokemon? Or does he HAVE to gust one of my pokemon?

I'm not exactly a source for official rulings, but I'll take a stab at it.

First, the text on Double Gust says your opponent makes the first switch. The example in TMP rule 11 says that if you play a Double Gust, you get to choose whether it affects you or your partner and which of your opponents it affects.

So, I'd say you would specify which member of your team is affected, then your opponents can decide between themselves what to Gust out from the selected player's bench.

After that, you can choose which of your opponents you want to target and make the switch of your choice.

you are correct sir, least as far as i can tell... the funny thing is is that you can turn around and Warp Point with the other Player, allowing you to send back up whoever without attaching a baloon berry
