this came up at a tournament a while back. it was three-judge and it was the finals. head judge was playing the tertiary judge. i was the secondary judge. they started play fine apparently, but the head judge kept muliganing(and he had about 12 basics in his deck). he finally got a basic after about 5 tries. they started playing and after a few turns the head judge got a ko. it was at this time that we noticed a problem. the head judge had set out two sets of prizes. so, he had 12 prizes on the table. it took me a little bit to decide what to do but i finally decided to let the opponent choose one of the sets of prizes(without looking at them) and those prizes would get shuffled back into the deck. then i gave a prize loss penalty and proceeded from there with no problems. i was just wonderin, did i do the right thing in this situation?

If they weren't judges, I would say yes for sure. Since It was the head judge I might have been a little more strict. Then again, my friends and I forget prizes once a night. So yeah. That was the right decision. And now you know why I use a play-mat. [Wink]

You did the wrong thing. I think I, I mean I think he should of gotten to pick up all of his prizes. That would of been the fairest thing to do. [Evil Smirk]
