One of the stickier issues in team format is what happens to cards who fail the Chaos flip. My original theory was that the person who played the gym would decide who used it. Then, Wizards said on the Professor List that the tails flipping trainer player would decide. However, most cards do make use of the word "your." Wouldn't that allow the person to choose to have their partner use the card, thereby negating the tails flipper's choice?
Just some thoughts.

On Chaos Gym, it says that "the player's opponent" may use the card if tails. Otherwise, Chaos Gym would be too much of a win-win situation in Team Play.

it is my understanding, and the way I have played it so far that before flipping, the player states who they are playing it against, that way if they flip tails a particular opponent gets to use it. Though since you is transferable, it could be taken that the team would decide who needs the trainer more...

Technically, the player is using the trainer card against the opposing team, albeit directed at only one of the opposing players on that team. Therefore, if the player flips tails, the other team gets to decide which of its' members, if any, gets to use the defeated trainer card.
