This just in. After talking with Kierin Chase Head Jugge for Pokémon tournaments. It seems like a good idea to have a Q&A session about Tournament Rules at the Chicago Qualifier.
This will take place on Friday night the 19th in the same space we will be playing in the next day.
Holiday Inn Chicago - O'Hare Intl 5440 N. River Rd. Rosemont, IL 60018
The purpose is to give you a chance to ask questions and do some education about the rules that govern our Pokémon tournaments.
I highly recommend that professors who can make it attend. Anyone else who is interested is welcome as well.
I do not have an exact time for this but I will post one here when it has been determined.

Well, seeing as how I'm not getting a ride to Chicago two days in a row, i can't attend in person. However, if someone would like to relay the conversation via cell phone somehow, please e-mail me ( [email protected] ). I do have tournament running experience, but I'm sure I could learn something from this. On the above note, do you think you could start the meeting after 7 PM?

I'm still wondering what a Head Jugge is! Is that the new way of saying he's a jughead? Since I don't even know how to pronounce his name, (Kierin) I have no room to talk.
I plan on being there. Now is this for Professors only or can younger players sit in on this too?

What time should the professors that want to help be there Saturday morning? Also, is there a chat tomorrow?

No Chat tomorrow. DMTM posted an announcement in the Announcement Forum to that effect.

FYI,
Keirin (Head of DCI) is a really nice guy. We had a Judge meeting the morning of the NJ Stadium and I found it very helpful so that expereinced Judges as well as the TO provided giudance to us new Judges on the block. Even though we may know the rules, I found it particular helpful on how to handle certain situations.
He also informed us under certain game infractions when to have him involved in the penalty making process. The TO, even though very knowledgable of Magic penalities, gave us some excellent advise on how to make certain rulings based on their many years of Magic DCI tournaments (e.g., only one Judge is needed to make a ruling, if you call someone over to help, then you step aside and allow the other Judge to make the ruling and never debate your ruling in front of other players, take it to the side and only allow one Judge to make the ruling - the one voice system). Most of this stuff was common sense.
Good luck to all the new Judges at Chicago.

I was wondering if anyone was planning on video taping the Q&A Forum? I won't be to Chicago in time to catch it but I would like to know what happens at it. I will probably arrive around 8 so I will most likely miss the whole thing. If anyone is or would be willing to fill me in on what happens it would be very much appreciated.
