Okay, i want to know this before i start using it, it doesnt really state on the card, Can crystal energy count as two energy or more at the same time? its says that it counts as 1 type of energy for each different "colored" energy card on the pokemon, so if i have a fire, lightning and water, does crystal energy count as 3 energy??

It only provides 1 energy. Crystal Energy is much like Rainbow Energy except it only provides the same type of Basic energy that is already attached to the Pokémon Crystal Energy attached to, so it can provide multiple energy types but only provides 1 energy at a time.
Edited: Added the word "Basic". [ February 03, 2003, 08:13 AM: Message edited by: BJJ763 ]

The word Basic should be in this sentence somewhere. Crystal doesn't copy dark, metal, rainbow, etc.

Here's the way I think of it and tell me if I have this wrong.
Crystal provided 1 energy of whatever basic energy is attached to the Pokemon. If no basic energy is attached to that Pokemon, Crystal provides 1 colorless energy.
So, a Crystal and a Fire gives you 2 fire.
2 Crystals give you 2 colorless.
A Dark and a crystal gives you a dark and a colorless.
And I don't think the card says anything about "before" the Crystal energy is applied. So if the first energy I attach to a Pokemon is Crystal, that Pokemon has 1 colorless energy attached. If I then attach a Water energy, that Pokemon NOW has 2 Waters attached.
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?

This topic is a duplicate of "Questionable Crystal Energy Interpretation?"
That being said, the card is NOT worded that it only provides 1 energy.
Until the card is errattaed or a ruling is issued, I judge as the card is written. That is all we can do. It is not for us to judge what the card is "meant" or "intended" to say, just to judge the card as it is.
That being said, I think we'll see something on this before SBZ, probably at Thursday's chat or on the board. I don't believe we want to get into these type of problems with card rulings at SBZ.

Cards that provide multiple energy have " " or " on top next to the card name.
Crystal Energy has only " ".
Edited: From MTM's article on Aquapolis:
quote: Crystal Energy works somewhat similar to Rainbow Energy but without doing any damage to your Pokémon. This Energy cards provides 1 Energy of all types (colors) of Basic Energy cards attached to the Pokémon that Crystal Energy is attached to. This means that if your Pokémon has a Basic Fire and a Grass Energy attached to it, then an attached Crystal Energy would provide either Fire or Grass energy (since it provides only 1 Energy). This means that Crystal Energy does NOT provide Metal or Darkness Energy even if one of those cards is already attached though (those are Special Energy cards, not Basic). This card will be useful for multicolor decks.
