if i attach 4 fighting to tyranitar, and my opponent sends out a light dragonite, would all the fighting become colourless or will it still provide darkness? Since it does say all special energy and the fighting energies dun take on the atributes of darnkess would it still provide darkeness?

You are correct...the fighting are considered basic energy that provide one darkness energy.
Light Dragonite is about as useful as a one legged man in a butt kicking contest in this situation

what if all four engerys were dark or mettal- then they would become colorless due to Light D. but then because of T's body become dark, but no longer have the benifets of the "specal" card on it. How meny times I've had to explain that Dark and Mettal are basic types of engery and the cards are "Specal" ie- rainbow.. etc... sigh.

Any energy attached provides Darkness...local power supercedes global.
A Metal energy would turn to colorless, loss it ability, and then would become darkness
