Poor Steelix and Snorlax will never retreat again, Jumpluff and other free retreaters will cringe in fear.

How bout a deck with Dark Muk active, Ariados (AQ) on the bench, Rocket Training Gym in play. 2+1+1=4 extra retreat cost.

What about swicth, warp point, scoop up, ect. Well, since this is obviously and unlimited deck, lets try Dark Vileploom!!!

now the only way to get back to the bench is Warp Energy. No way to stop that yet... but limit 4 to a deck, just use a Pokemon attck that reals them back in.

well, you could have some fortress on your bench so when and if they did use warp point, it would hurt the next dude.

Erica total 24, thats right, 24.
Dunsprace total 41.
I've gotten 98 on that Machoke at work game. I beat Driving Corasola.
I almost beat the record in Hold Down hip hop. I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

We are talking unlimited here, so a nice strategy would be Aquapolis Ariados, Dark Muk, lots of ERs and SERs, plus some Rocket's Training Gyms ánd Chaos Gyms. Just add in a TeCh'ed Muk, so you can battle all those Slowkings. Have fun poisoning and leaving your opponents baffled.

It has been a while since I played a Dark Vileplume Lock Deck, But D Muk Gets Going 2nd turn, Backed by D Vileplume's Trainer denial, and the Truely adventurious can use D Gloom's Pollen Stench to add confusion in the mix. Warp Energy is the only thing that would be able to effectively stop this. well, and Muk from Fossil of course.

Without Darkness Energy, D Muk can do 20 and auto poison, on up to 60 and auto for D energy. +4 to Retreat, plus possibilty of adding confusion. What do you do now?

There is no such thing as too many evolution when playing A Dark Vileplume deck.

Something like
3 Oddish
3 D Gloom
2 D Vileplume
3 Grimer
3 D Muk
2 Spinirak
2 Ariados
3 Cleffa (2 NG, 1 Promo)
1 Aipom

That is minimul Pokes. Since you run anti trainer card there is not a lot of use for lots of trainers, just strong cards to help get Pokes out quicky and the stadium of course. And an extra 5 energy more than your used to since you can go turns without finding them sometimes.

I've tried a form of this in modified...Ariados with Broken Ground Gym for a +2 retreat. It did not do well at SBZ. I was surprised to find out how much Warp Point and Double Gust are played. The addition of warp energy makes this harder to play/work. This kind of destroys this strategy. [Frown] The Forretress + Ariados combo is interesting but seems to take too long to set up. Your really need 2 or 3 Forretress on the bench to make this effective.

Next to try is Dark Ariados. It poisons as well as doing 30 damage. A successful coin flip will prevent your opponent from using any trainers or PP to switch/retreat. But then there's Warp Energy again! [Mad] And of course, there's the fire decks to contend with. Now...what to combo Dark Ariados with...

Just thought of a card that would fit well in here...
Aquapolis Umbreon

It's Dark Moon power would let you get rid of those Warp Energy and it's Shadow Bind keep the opponent from Retreating anyway...

I so wished that Dark Vileploom was a allowed in Modified, it is the card that makes no/high retreat decks work

@ dark lama
But if you just prevent the retreat you wouldn´t have any advantage of cards highering the retreat

Magbi, Hah, dont make me laugh. That little 30 HP booger can only sit there heplessly until D Muk gets a heads. Like that will really take 6 turns? Magbi could retreat, but Sputter's effect ends soon as he does. Pichu is more of a threat!

Muk from Fossil is the only major flaw this deck has.

PS, CmonIWanaPLaYa, I havent built this deck yet, I have mostly been building Modifed, there isnt much challenge to Unlimited, just fun decks
