if i use energy removal 2 and SER2 while no removal gym is in play,do i discard 2 cards since it says ER and SER not ER2 and SER2

Nope, no need to discard the cards. No Removal Gym only effects cards named "Energy Removal" and "Super Energy Removal". Energy Removal 2 and Super Energy Removal 2 are different cards with different names, so No Removal Gym has no effect on them.

Until WotC erratas the card to say: "any card with Energy Removal in its name." [Devilish]

But since NRG isn't in modified I doubt they will take the time.

Great question JessChow. Big Poppa Poke may be right with this card being errated in the near future. Even though they are still flips the cards are devastating in Modified when you flip heads. Comboe'd with Expedition Blastoise, Jet Stream ,I have one nasty deck coming up for SBZ. Plan on seeing the Gym errated for the ER2 and SER2 cards.
