OK! In the Pokemon Rule book, (v 7) I quote:
" Any kind of Energy - (G) (R) (W) (L) (P) (F) (C) (D) (M) - can count toward Colorless Energy requirements (C) "

So basically, if some card has an attack of (F)(F)(C) only 2 have to be (F) Energy. ANY other Energy may take up that 3rd slot.

Again, another quote:
" ..you must discard one Energy attached to it for each (C) listed for its Retreat Cost. "

My point: If a (C) means ANY type, then does this also count towards special energy?
Ex. If I attached a Potio nEnergy, it says it provides (C) energy, so does this mean I can make it any energy type?

Also, would this apply to Pokemon types? Some Colorless pokemon have attacks that say "Dont apply weakness and resistance" when we as players scoff at them for wasting ink printing suchc a ting, knowing that nothing has weakness or resistance to colorless. So, this only goes to support my point, if Dark Ursaring was made into a Fire pokemon for example, he would still do his 20 damage to all the Pokemon, but having weakness to fire wouldn't count. There is no advantage to this at first, but I believe some Colorless Pokemon would be GREATLY affected by this should it come to pass.

You're reveresing something not meant to be reversed. Any type can be colorless, but colorless is only colorless. Colorless basically means typeless, not any type.

In case they get painted by smeargle.

No. It means count the number of Colorless symbols there are and discard that many energy if you want to retreat. Any energy can be used for Colorless, but if a card says it gives Colorless, then it can only be used for Colorless.

There may be no weaknesses or resistances to colorless currently, but who's to say there won't be any in the future?

I sincerely doubt a weakness/resistance will be made for colorless...

While colorless is to represent Normal type in the game...I think it more closely resembles a 'No Type' Pokemon in the card game...and why would a Pokemon be weak to "No type"?

Just my opinion

Maybe someday there will be a Pokémon type that is weak to Normal in the video game. Such a Pokémon would probably have a Colorless weakness in the card game.

I wish that there would be a Pokémon game show.

Anyone up for making a TV edition of the Pokémon TCG?

Don't pester me "Add Neo Cleffa"--my area won't allow it!
