I just went to website that had a picuture of the April BZ Promo No. 6. Dark Ivasaur has the following
Pokebody:

Vine Pull: Once during your turn when Dark Ivasaur retreats, choos 1 of your opponent's benched
Pokemon and swith it with his or her Active Pokemon.

This means that when D. Ivasaur retreats, you can bring up that damaged pokemon or get rid of that
active baby pokemon for a non baby inorder to attack. The cost of retreating is two energies.

D. Ivasaur has to retreat. This means paying the retreat cost, not using double gust, switch, warp point,
etc. I believe the trainer Ballon Berry can be used as it pays for the retreat cost.

Will grass decks see more play? If Entei/Magcargo is eliminated in the new Modified to be release in June 2003, then
Grass and this card may actually see use........

What do you think????

Unless Dark Venusaur is a beast, this card should see NO play, except those who want to experiment with the new card. Its attack is a joke, 2 for 30 and I choose where to put the damage? Please.

The power forces me to retreat and waste a card in the process. Unless it can be comboed with DG or switch, this is a big honkin piece of garbage that only has 50HP anyway.

In short, I rate it 1/5 in unlimited, and 1/5 in modified, because it is a waste.

I do not care HOW weak fire gets. There are MUCH better ways to get out the other player's pokemon other than this.

I can hear it now, combo it with Dodrio (yeah, waste 2 lines to set up a 3rd attacking line, boy, that will work).

Needless to say, get it, collect it, trade it, what a waste of a "Best" space.

Well, as I can see it's finally a relief to see all 3 original starter evolutions as Dark Pokemon, I doubt many would want to play the 2 Retreat repeatedly just to take advantage of the Pokebody.

Maybe if it was combo'd with Energy Restore/Energy Stadium/LC Gastly (long shot there) and even the AQ Eggecutor, to do 10 or 20 to a baby on the bench and then pull it out to finish it.

Fortunately, Dark Venusaur looks to be a great big Special Condition giving monster, which might save Ivysaur.
