If a confused pokemon flips tails, it attacks itself with an attack doing 20 damage.
If its weakness is to its own type does it do 40 damage?

If a confused pokemon tries to attack and gets tails on the flip, it attacks itself for 20, applying weakness and resistance. As such, a confused Kadabra would do 40 to itself, and an Aerodactyl would do 0 to itself.
