this may already be discovered and used regularly but just in case i want to share what ive found
ya know those pokemon ex cards, mewtwo ex, electabuzz ex, magmar ex, scyther ex, chansey ex, hitmonchan ex, lapras ex, sneasel ex, groudon ex, and kyogre ex
there super strong and can whoop your opponents but when ur opponent manages to beat 'em it's 2 whole prizes for them
well ive found a way to recycle them before they die so u can get double the usage outta them
when they're getting close to dying, use the trainer card "Super Scoop Up"
it takes a coin flip but if u get heads you can return the pokemon ex card and the energies attatched to it to ur hand. after u use it put the pokemon ex card imediately back on ur bench and start returning the energies to it
of course you need at least oen pokemon on ur bench to replace the pokemon ex card after u use Super Scoop Up
It works for me great! i hoep it works for u too!

In Unlimited, you could just play Mr. Fuji and shuffle them back into your deck.
EDIT- Spelled Fuji wrong.. [ July 12, 2003, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: The Dark Llama ]

Mr Fuji Rocks! Healing, Anti-stalling, the list just goes on and on (well, just those two actually).
Go Mr Fuji!

I like scoop up better, especially for mewtwo ex, this way you don't have to worry about flipping or benching.

Just to expand a little more on what Yoshi said...
Super Scoop up is based on a card from the first set, "Scoop Up". It requires no coin flip, although it only brings back the Pokemon, not the energy. This way the main choice for healing back when only the base set was out, and everyone used a Hitmonchan/Electabuzz style Haymaker.
In simpler terms, this strategy is older than dirt. Although it is indeed worth considering. Tearing away an easy two prizes, ten HP away from destruction, might be something to look at seriously. [ July 12, 2003, 09:50 PM: Message edited by: Maverick Hunter Zero ]

It's not cowardly to run. It's futile.

OR you could give it a foucs band, play pokemon center, play pokemon nurse, play Hyper Potion, Moo Moo milk... you could retreat it to the bench and put out Narow Gym and put it back in your hand.

I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

or... attach all 4 rainbow, attach gold berry, wait a turn, then let LC Venusaur Energy trans the Rainbow off, play Pokemon Nurse, put em back on and attack.
