I probably know the answer to this, just wanna make sure,

You are NOT allowed to use a pkmn breeder on a cleffa to evolve it to a clefable correct?

Correct, Clefable does not count as a stage 2 Pokemon.

To use Breeder you have to evolve to a stage 2 pokemon so you could not use it to evolve to Clefable as Clefable is a stage 1 not a stage 2.You'll just have to evolve it the hard way!

Wouldn't it be too cool if someday they came out with a stage 2 for the Clef-line. [Eek!]

Yeah, you can breeder Fossils into Kabutops and Omastar. Once in play Mysterious Fossil counts as a basic pokemon. Kabutops and Omastar are stage 2's, so you can breeder to them.

I don't know - They do say that if you evolve Pichu into Pikachu, Pikachu is counted as an Evolved Pokemon, and the first evoution is called Stage 1, by evolving into Raichu that would take it to the next Evolution, Stage 2

Pikachu is an "Evolved Basic" in this case. Evolved from a baby for purposes such as attacking promo Mew, but a basic in terms of matching up Raichu (which is still a stage 1, by the way). Nice try, but it's come up before.

If they made like a baby-abra, is it possible that you can breed the baby-abra to alakazam?

When played on Pichu, Pikachu is an evolution, but not a Stage 1. Not all evolutions are Stage 1 or Stage 2.

Yes, that would work. Because Alakazam would be a "matching Stage 2".

Breeder say "Put a Stage 2 Evolution Card on a the matching Basic Pokemon"

It actually involve 2 cards: a card which is "In-Played" and consided as a matching "Basic Pokemon"; the card in your hand which is not "In-Played" and is a "Stage 2 Evolution Card".

When the Raichu card is in your hand, it is only a Stage 1 Pokemon Card. So it do not meet the requirement to use the Breeder.

After a card is played and considered as a Pokemon, there are only 2 official types: "Basic Pokemon" and "Evolved Pokemon".

Any "In-Played" card considered as a Pokemon and no other card under the card, this Pokemon is considered as "Basic Pokemon". (e.g. Baby, M. Fossil, Kubuto played by Fossil Egg))

If there is any other card under the Pokemon, it is considered "Evolved Pokemon" (e.g. Pikachu on Pichu)

Some name is used like "Evolved Basic Pokemon" (Pikachu on Pichu), "Basic Baby Pokemon", or "Basic Stage-1 Pokemon" (Kubuto by Fossil Egg). These names can explan some current situration and ruling, but they are not official approved by WOTC yet.

Currently, all the Attack, Power, or trainer when refering to any In-Played Pokemon will only say "Basic" or "Evolved" Pokemon. It never say "Stage 1" or "Stage 2" for In-Played Pokemon. So calling In-Played Pokemon as only "Basic Pokemon" or "Evolved Pokemon" is enough now, until some new card in the future require more detail defination (e.g. Oh-ho require new redefine on what is Basic Energy card)

So, since Kabuto is a Basic when Fossil Egg is used does this mean you could use Pokemon Breeder to turn it into a Kabutops? [Big Grin]

Could be one of those fun things to do [Bounce]

Don't see why you would want to breeder kabuto to kabutops-- you can just evolve it without the breeder. Unless of course, you have a reason to want a pokemon breeder in your discard pile (can't think of one).
