Okay,30 min. ago I was looking through my binder and something caught my eye. Dark Donphan! Now I know you're probably think " what, Dark Donphan!" but take a look at him. He's just like Dark Golduck. He has 60hp and you can give him 8ohp with Rocket's Hideout.{ same as Dark Golduck.} His 2nd attack does 50 damage for 2 fighting and a colorless.{same as dark golduck but fighting instead of psychic.} You can attach a darkness to do 60 damage.{just like Dark golduck. only difference is that he has one more retreat cost, but just use switch. Cool thing is is that he has a resistance to lightning. Pretty cool huh?

Yeah, I see the similarities, but there's a big difference between the two. D Golduck takes a heavily resisted energy type (P) and has an attack that is not resisted and which can OHKO nearly every fire Pokemon printed except maybe Charizard and Moltres. Add Headache Psyduck and Slowking and you might have something.
D Donphan is still commonly resisted and there are a lot of F resistant G Pokemon out there. Both are really too small and a step too expensive to make much impact in any fast environment. If they had made D Golduck Holo though, I think it would have been a really neat card, and I might have tried a lot harder to make it work. [ October 27, 2002, 09:56 PM: Message edited by: slowdad ]
