I have a query. Say I'm using Sky Delibird's Limited delivery or Dark Dragonair's Evo Light and I do the power/attack and get the specific cards from my deck. My question is after that and grabbed all that there is,can I still search my deck even though the specific cards are no longer in my deck and simply use the attack/power just to look though my deck and shuffle it?

Yep. Though if you did this over several turns in a game in which you already have advantage in prizes, you might get called for stalling.

From the compendium:

Q. If I use Dark Dragonair's Evolutionary Light, do I have to pick an Evolution card out if there's any or I don't have to (even if there are Evolution cards in the deck) and just use it to see what cards are in the deck?
A. No, you MUST choose one if there is ONE but you can use the power to search your deck even if there is NOT any evolution cards. (Apr 5, 2001 WotC Chat, Q99 & Q165)

The ruling here is ambiguous, to say the least. However, I would say that the Penalty Guidelines superscede the compendium and that after the second or third time you would be charged with stalling, which is defined as:

A player intentionally plays slowly in order to take advantage of the time limit. Refer to section 161 for unintentional slow play.
Since there is no legitmate reason for doing this, this is the only recourse.

There are some ligitimte reasons why you might use a searching power even though you know in advance that the search will fail....

But its going to look like stalling so you had better have a very good reason for doing so....

Even if you are behind on prizes you can still be called for stalling.

'Good News' or 'Bad News' but NOT NO NEWS

some people brag about their tournament results, me I'm gonna brag??? about what players have managed to get past me LOL

-------Hoodwinked---(things I won't get wrong again...)------

'legal stalling' : game loss at least
'only joking' on misreported match results: DQ Yep its that serious!
The prize swap penalty as it applies to shuffling.
