Hi all,
I just got back from China, and haven't played the actual game in awhile. I see alot of stuff posted on these boards, though, and I have a few questions that I'm hoping some of you can help me with:
1. Several posts have mentioned a new deck combination of typhlosion and exeggcutor. Could someone clarify this for me? I'm assuming we're talking fire recharge 'phlosion and some exeggcutor, but I thought the big fire weasel could only attach fire energy to a fire pokemon (at least, that's what apprentice says).
2. Non-holo suicune as entei/magcargo tech. I've heard of people playing this one in all sorts of decks...is it just that it free retreats, can OHKO a magcargo, and can help with double gusting? I know that's alot, but especially Gymbo (if you're reading this, help me out, Gymbo!) advocates the use of this card. Anything else that makes this superior to something else?
3. Another question directed Gymbo's way, or, at least, to someone who can translate Gymboese: A post in the decks section hinted that there was a way Gatrsect could make itself impervious to Muk. How is that accomplished?
Thanks. See all of you at Gen-Con and Origins.
Cheers,

OK here are your answers...
1. Yes the NG Recharge Phlosion and AQ Grass Eggy. The eggy can discard energy from any of your pokemon in play. So you recharge energy on Phlosion and discard it with Eggy. Its a cool deck i got 3rd with it at SBZ.
2. Suicune is played to protect your bench while you build up. Cargo plays 4 Enteis (3H and 1 NH) already so it needs another dog to protect against DG so it plays Suicune. I'm playing at least 2 dogs in my decks.
3. On a site they posted a version of Gatr/Sect that is much less weak to Muk then a regular Gatr/Sect. They added like 3 Memory Berries i believe to use Toto's rage.
I hope i helped out.

I've been out of it for a while too, and I was wondering...is Elekid still worth using anymore? I used to tech one in every deck for tight spots, but now it seems to be not worth it. Also, I play Psychic; what's something I could splash to help deal with Murkrow?
Thanks!

elekid getting stronger with all the lightning weak water making a resurgence. Its a TeCh card. (Have I got TeCh right?? hows my l33t LOL)
Murkrow's Lock should not be a problem... your trainer engine should have plenty of ways to break it. Murkrow is probably a good tech card much like Elekid.

'legal stalling' : game loss at least 'only joking' on misreported match results: DQ Yep its that serious! The prize swap penalty as it applies to shuffling.
