In the 2vs2, you can have up to 2 active pokemon. You follow the same rules as the single pokemon game (the new Nintendo rules for that matter). This means, you still can only attach ONE energy per turn. Then when you attack, only one of your active pokemon (if there are two)will attack to any of your opponent's active pokemon (if there are two)as long it has the proper nrg requirements.
Please fill anything that I may have missed. [ July 04, 2003, 12:41 AM: Message edited by: Raymond Lalic ]

You can still only retreat once per turn even when you have two active pokemon. You can have one active pokemon out if you don't have any other pokemon.

You can't have one active and one bench. On playing the second Pokemon it would automatically get promoted to the active position.

I never heard of only being able to retreat once pur turn does this rule apply in Nintendo or modified and ulimited? If I retreat my active and and bring out a different poke than I won't be able to retreat him? Thanks for the help.

It applies to Nintendo formats only. If you're at a WotC-format event you can retreat as many times as you can pay the retreat cost.
