I am being continualy defeated by the other halfs Zap deck, it is not the lightning energy Pokemon but the Psychic pokemon. The defeated my basic set pokemon so I got the Bodyguard set only to find them weak against psychic. Which one of the basic sets or jungle/fossil can combat this pack??

Overgrowth may be your best bet, but you might want to consider Trouble (a Team Rocket deck) as well.

Is there a precon that uses the Ghost Pokemon?
That would put a crimp in a Psychic deck!

Maybe it's time for you to move up to building your own decks?

Have you just bought decks so far, or any packs?

Oh, the other thing that is good against Psychic is Colorless (non-Flying) because they are resistant to Psychic.
I think the Base Set 2 Precons centered around Colorless Pokemon.

Beat the Zap deck with the water blast set. The main advantage I had was as said, the colourless Pokemon Meowth and Evee being resistant to Psychic attack.

By someone's '200 cards!' or '1000+ cards!' on eBay for mad cheap and build your own deck. When I say cheap I mean less than 10 bucks. You can buy a ton of good 'just learning' Pokemon cards on eBay for really cheap.

I have been scanning the ebay for bargain buys and also boot fairs.

I live in Sheppey so London is not to far. With the kids, mortgage and new home I presently don't have alot of time to myself but maybe sometime I will have an oppertunity to see the Pokemon team.

Hi orkboss,

we hold a regular league at Rainham in Kent every Wednesday night 7-00pm until 10-30pm and also regular 4th Sunday Tournaments. And this month a 5th Sunday too .. from 12pm until 6pm.

We are right next to the Railway Station (25 mins from Sheerness and just off the A2 about the same journey time.

We have a large stock of Free Commons and Uncommons and have some of the best players in the UK on hand to help you build a winning deck.

details of the guild are on our website :

http://www.gamers-guild.co.uk

maps and route planner included on the site or email me for more information.

Wednesday League generally gets between 16 to 30 players and is always good fun with plenty of exclusive Pokegoodies and promos up for grabs.

Hope we see you there ...
