can you evolve omanyte (rock) into omaster (water)?
oh and the way you play the supporter card is the same as using a normal trainer oh an yeah I know that you can play only one supporter each turn(why do you have to put it next to your active pokemon and discard it at the end of your turn ![[Embarrassed]](redface.gif)

Fighting, not Rock.
Yeah, it's Rock in the GB game, but it's Fighting Type in the Card game.
Anyway, yes. As long as the name (Evolves from Omanyte) is correct, type changes don't matter.
Think of Onix evolving into Steelix. You always have a type change there!
As for the supported question: you just place it there as a reminder that one was played that turn. That's all.
