Well, for those who are either very poor or very cheap (especially me), what is the most playable deck to use? I have maybe like 150 or so dollars to spend, and with some trading I could probably go for something a little more expensive.

Well I havent played this game long, but I noticed that the Kricketune deck is pretty fast, but the most powerful decks would probably be the Magmortar SW or the Blissey MT (ambulance) decks.

Personally I love the Magmortar deck, because like blissey it dishes out multiple damage, but when you attach an energy each time, you can take 2 damage counters off, Awesomus!!!

Hurricane is fairly cheap. Also it uses lots of older, reprinted cards ie. delcatty magneton, so it'sfairly easy to get the right cards for it.

your best hope is probably T2 decks. 4-4 line....is that so bad? the thing is the trainers like TSD(40-50$) castaway and those hyped trainers which could burn a hole in a wallet

As long as you avoid needing multiple Time Space Distortion you should easily be able to build any deck in the current format well below $150. The hardest cards you will probably have getting are Blissey, Absol, Gardevoir, Gallade, and a few of the Lvl X cards (Electavire, Magmortar, Honchkrow, and Gardevoir are not in tins), abd a few trainers. Of the trainers, Castaway is probably the most expensive (excluding TSD).

Kettler made top cut with Infernape. If you can't build this for under $25 dollars than you are hanging out with the wrong people.. Since Infernape X came in a tin I was able to get this card for $2. I once got a Delcatty EX for $5. Everthing else I have seen on the floor, trash, 10 cent section or less than a dollar.

Honestly, $150 can make you just about any deck this format, so long as youre not overpaying on Castaways, etc. The only thing to watch out for is decks that need multiple TSDs.

if i were able to buy a delcatty couple of delcatty ex, 4 rare candy, 3 Castaway, 3 Delcatty for under $25 i wouldbe very very happy i wouildn't even build iferncatty.

Yeah, agreed.
Infernacatty builds usually are well over 25.
I would say that Ape X is 6-8, Catty ex is 10-12, and 3 Catty is easily 10-15.
Those are your major things.
4 Candy are still a good 5-10 bucks or so cause it's like a 1-2 dollar uncommon.
4 DRE is 5 more bucks about.
Now, you are already lookin at close to 50 or more.
You could prolly buy the deck for 50-75 though.

...How many times have you MENTIONED that deck?!

I'd say that some of the low budget decks out there would be stuff like MegaGatr (mostly because it isn't that popular at this time). Despite the holos, hardly anyone plays it at this time. Another would be Kricketune, since it really doesn't take too much to build. I can't think of anything else at this time though.

Darhtpika are you in love with hurricane? I think mario is kinda cheap because lucario is easy to get in pop packs and kits + lucario lvx and machamp is also not that hard to get. I don't like this deck myself but it's really cheap. I would play it with another partner like empoleon or magmortar. But machamp is the easiest to get.

If I were you, I would just make some super cheap T2 deck, and save your money for when Darkrai LV.X hits. I have a felling that thing will be highly playable and highly valued!

You can build something good out of the easier-to-find/less desirable stage 1s in the new set -- there's some good stuff that's definitely been overlooked. The current Rolls Royce of decks is looking like Gardelade-Absol, where the Gardevoir level X might realistically run you $25. However, for $150 you could probably just about build two copies of that deck buying singles..

Most decks don't run over $150.00$ (well, at least not for me). I only do trades and buy the odd booster(s) here and there. I count on one of my family members to do well in tournaments (eg. between tournaments my brother and I have 3 boxes of SW; last year we got about 4 boxes of Dragon Frontiers). It isn't too hard to get your cards cheap/free if you search for them. I don't know if the decks I am about to list go over you budget (I am not an Ebay-freak) but, here are some that are pretty great...

DarkWingDuck
Gardy/Gallade
Banette/Blissey
Turn2Banette
Ambipom/Absol
Lickillicky (This is Team Lesage's secret don't ask questions until after States)

Kricketune's easy to run. The cards are very inexpensive. Depending on your budget, it would be great if you could make a Blissey combo.
