Pokemon: 12 (22 with the fossils)
2 Kabuto (GE)
2 Kabutops (PK)
2 Kabutops (GE)
2 Omanyte (GE)
2 Omastar (GE)
2 Aerodactyl (GE)

Trainers: 33
4 Dome Fossil
2 Helix Fossil
2 Old Amber
4 Quick Ball
3 Rare Candy
3 Wager
2 Fossil Excavator
4 Castaway
3 Strength Charm
2 Amulet Coin
2 Rowan
2 Tv Reporter

Energy: 15
12 Fighting
3 Water

The strategy is to start with either Kabutops and disrupt your opponent's set up by not letting them evolve or play trainers. Ideally it would with the Kabutops from PK so it can start "spreading damage" with it's Luring Antenna while also making the Kabutops(GE) Chop Apart more effective in mid or late game. Aerodactyl also helps if they are using powers; Gardy, Delcatty, Magmortar Lv. X, etc. Then finally Omastar "locks" them in. Have fun kids.

i'd say -1 Dome Fossil, -1 Old Amber, -1 Strength Charm, +3 Holon Fossil (flip a coin, if heads search for Aerodactyl, Kabuto, Omanyte, Lileep, or Anorith and put it down on the bench as a basic, if tails, same thing but from hand) Holon Fossil can help ALOT. too bad Strange Cave isnt still around.

Hey, I posted a deck very similiar to this a few days ago:
http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=65306

there's tons of explanation in there for almost everything, Didn't use kabutops PK though, mostly cause i wanted to set up with the GE one T2. btw warp point is great with omastar and since you have kabutops PK it only adds to the effect (because kabutops PK affects only active) Oh and rare candy is almost useless with the fossil's powers.

Its a sound idea and i like it the one down side to the whole thing is it's an illegal deck. Legal decks now require atleast 1 Basic Pokemon in the deck (not including fossils)

2 Kabuto (GE)
2 Kabutops (PK)
2 Kabutops (GE)
2 Aerodactyl (GE)

Trainers
4 Dome Fossil
2 Old Amber
4 Quick Ball
4 Rare Candy
3 Wager
2 Fossil Excavator
3 Castaway
2 Strength Charm
2 Windstorm
4 Holon Fossil
1 Copycat
1 Stevens
3 Proffessor Birch

Energy
2 Scramble
2 DRE
13 Fighting

Thats my take on it. Latilock could be a problem though. The deck should be fast and consistant. Idk Chris, this deck is less pokemon concentrated and could use pokedex.

the thing i don't like about get a T2 Kabutops from GE is that you don't fully take advantage of the card. Meaning your only don't 60 with a DRE and no bench damage. So that's why the ideal start for this deck is the T2 Kabutops but from PK. I was thinking of Cranidos but that could be too many pokemon and for the most part i like the Aerodactyl better since you don't need to power it up, it just sits on your bench.

If we get the Relicanth, just go with it...

Nice deck idea and Phione isn't bad either!!

Relicanth L.31 – Water – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[.] Ancient Voice: Search your deck for up to 3 Trainer cards with Fossil in their name, show them to your opponent, and put them in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.
[C][C] Sleep Spiral: 30 damage. Relicanth and the Defending Pokemon are now Asleep.

Weakness: Lightning (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

If the Translation holds up!

I LOVE the idea, but mirror matches would be a pain. lol

I can just picture it now.....

p1 - flips over df as only pkmn, draws card, ends turn

p2 - has active df, plays rare candy to Kabutops ge, plays down nrg, smiles at opponent and ends turn

p1 - starts to play down a fossil but opponent kindly remindes of Kabutops trainer lock, wants to strangle opponent, ends turn

p2 - plays down dre, game

^ I can see this happening a lot if fossil decks ever get big. Oh the laughs I'll have.

yeah, the relicanth would be your ideal 1 basic pokemon. I had not even read that spoiler. I didn't want to focus to much on the spoilers until Cities were over, and the fossils were some of the better spoilers that i saw.

Phione is good if you would play heavy on Fossil Excavator. But play to heavy on FE with Quick Balls and the fossil self evolving doesn't make much sence, at least not to me.

The reason I love quick ball in this deck is because your "basics" wouldn't get in the way. Then the Stage 1 search out your fossils with a flip. So quick ball pretty much guarantees a T2 Kabutops. I currently play it with my Magmortar and it consistently gets me T2 Magmortar and the basics sometimes get in the way of the quickball, I play 2 celios with that as well it works out great.

The conflict I run into now is that the 2/2 Kabutops might get in the way of each other. So probably going 3/1 would be the ideal play, IDK yet only playtesting once the cards come out will tell.

^^Nah you also have excavator to get the kabutops'. That GE one is the heavy hitter of the two and needs to be kept at 2.

in any other build where the focus of the deck is to lock your opponent's trainers then yeah it should be kept at 2/2 or heck even 4/0 on the GE. in this build the focus is to use omastar GE more efficiently, meaning you have to spread out damage more. In order to do that you have to focus on the PK Kabutops, which not only spreads the damage but also disrupts. The GE comes in more in play mid to late game.

The combo of Omastar, Wager and then Kabutops preventing your opponent from evolving just sounds really nasty, and really besides candy what other trainers are being used a lot? T2 decks would set up as fast as the Kabutops, so you really don't slow down their set-up with quick ball/great ball. Stage 2 rely more on supporters then trainers. I'm not saying that the Kabutops from GE is bad or that's not the play, but it should be the focus of attention on a bench hitting deck even with it's good attack.

i also have a kubutops(PK) lock deck with fishing engine and ran 4 sableye SW as starter. i'll switch in 1 or 2 kabutops GE once it's out.

You do know Omastar only devolves the bench pokemon and Kabutops only stops the active from evolving right so i don't see how omostar wager then kabutops stops anything
