Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

RANKINGS - 2007-08 Season

Squirtle, what he was saying was that for states that are close to other states that have events, one person from the state can do well at tournaments within the state and another can do well at tournaments within other states that border the state. This way, the two people never meet and thus never lower the score of the other. Expand this to states that have multiple bordering states with events and you could have many high ranked players that haven't played in the same event more than a few times.

I find it hilarious that Florida is being used as the example of bordering other states.

We're surrounded by WATER on THREE SIDES!

Ladies and gentlemen, I realy hope that the NA rankings will be added by this weekend... These tournies still need to be uploaded.... Ah well

So yeah. When this done, Ill have the intl ones to worry about but theres some that might not get it all like the GB since these Brits have theirs up to like... April?

Cheers.

Looks like TX and FL are really making an early showing in all age groups.

So I wonder...if I show up at TX States will I get to play a bunch of high rated people, or are they in diff corners of the State and end up playing in seperate States? Same ? for Florida.

There's no guarantee that you'll play against high-rated people. ;)

But no, you won't have this phenomenon of Texans not playing in their state. Unlike Florida or California, the three big metros (DFW, Houston, and San Antonio) are all reasonable distances near each other.

Im planning on not playing in Texas' State Champ...Possibility I wont even be in the state at that time :frown:

ehhhh, that's what you said about FAFSA/san antonio!

Not to worry, we didnt plan that one...My grandmother woke us up at 4:30 in the freaking morning saying, "Get up, your driving..." :nonono:

Hey guys, do you think that my bro. could has a shot at getting an invite?

His rating points are only at 1620.51, but thats partly because we only got to go to 2 cc's. He played really well and we plan on going to 2 States, atleast 1 Regionals(hopefully 2) and if we do well enough, nats.

I'm no good at figureing out all the stuff with rankings and such cuz I only started playing last yr. so IDK what it is posible to do with your rateing for states and stuff.

Hey we want to try that two Regionals thing too. How do you pull that off this year. Hope for a snow storm somewhere to cancel one weekend listed out. Sorry but I think Regionals is only on one day this year. But at 1620 you still have big chances. One player got a late start last year and only went to one Region and one State and ended up with a #2 ranking in jr.s.

^ Oh, I didn't relize that they where doing that this yr. lol

Luckily there isn't to much competition in my state, but we do get other high ranked players from PA, VA, and DE somtimes even SC and NC.

The PTO who will be reporting Milford MA has been very ill.....thus the delay! I'm sure it will come as soon as he is able.

I went to 7 events last year and ended with a 1918, that'd be more than good enough this year. You just have to do well at States/Regs/Nats. Last year only 2 players in the T10 after Cities made Worlds in 15+ - Eric Craig and Chris Fulop.

I'm on my way to #1 Europa & Africa :D
Still, i need like 65 points to get there, but I'm still waiting for 2 CC wins to get oploaded.. D:
(and we have 2 weekends of CCs left)

Good luck ardoptres on being first:)
