1st. Please provide reasons so this isnt a poll thanks:thumb:

Now, recently i have seen arguments on which is the "BDIF," so I figured that I may as well find out.
-Side Note: I apologize for not including Gatr decks or Banette decks or whatever other decks people might this is the BDIF, its just that these 2 are the most prominent right now.

Since there are a lot of Magmortar decks im just gonna use FireTRUK
Magmortar(SW)
Pros:
-Stage 1
-Basic does decent damage
-1st attack can do "unlimited" damage
-2nd attack spreads damage
-above average HP for a stage 1(110)
-Great Poke-Body
-Has a lvl x that has a decent power and sniping attack
-Typhlosion adds a decent 2nd attacker to the deck
-Delcatty Ex can be the "surprise attacker"
Cons:
-+30 Water
-3 Retreat

----------
GG:
Pros:
-Gallade can OHKO any pokemon
-Gardevoir's power lets you use more than 1 supporter each turn.
-then basic and stage one's have decent attacks
-Gardevoir's Lvl X can go well with Gallade's 1st attack
-the deck can have almost any card as a tech
-Blissey is weak to Gallade
-Both Gallade and Gardevoir have decent hp(130 and 110)

Cons:
+30 Weakness to Psychic which is huge with Banette roaming.
you have to choose which evolution you want out since they evolve from the same basic
Stage 2's so it may be a little harder to get them out

If ive forgotten anything please lmk

So, which do you think is better(and PLEASE provide reasons as I dont want this locked because I want to see what people think)

Magmortar, as it remainst consistantly strong throught the battle, where G&G loses power and can have trouble takeing the last few prizes.

BTW, Gatr beats the heck out of both of these decks, so HURRICANE IS THE BDIF!!:eek::tongue:

No. Just no. Feraligatr is bad with Delcatty/Magneton.

G&G is the winner, my biggest reason being that G&G can put in techs that will easily turn the matchup against Magmortar to 70-30. Can't say the same about Magmortar against G&G

i would say its 50/50 depending on the start and the build of deck my opinion is i think gardelade beats magmortar even though i am a magmortar player my self and have beat several gardeladde decks so it depends basically on the opponents skill level.

P.S. Nobody hardly gives a crap about hurricane that is all i ever see in your posts

Magmortar, mostly because I hate GG but there are other reasons. Like u said, being a stage 1 it's easier 2 get it out and start doin heavy damage. I c that as a huge plus.

i played gardylade throughout cities, but then my friends convinced me to stop playing it since they HATE it(they call it gardy***) but now i play magmortar and, IMO and through testing, its probably 50-50

Playing wise, GG is a much simpler deck to play and win with. I say they are both great decks, but I think GG has the edge.

I've been playtesting these two decks myself to try and determine which I like better. G&G seems a bit more consistant to me for several reasons. An early Gallade can simply win you the game before the opponent sets up. Gardevoir allows you to abuse the various supporters that are in almost every deck right now (Celio, Castaway, and Roseanne's, plus POV, Steven's and the Team Galactics cards) to give you much more versatility than most decks. While G&G does seem to have a definate late game lag in pulling off your last 1-2 prizes, the combination of Sonic Blade and Bring Down along with tech sweeper cards can counter this. Gardevoir's Psychic Lock is also a rather underrated attack, even if it does only 60 damage.

While G&G lags a bit in the end game department, Magmortar dominates there. The hard part is getting to the end game, where you are fully set up. Magmortar becomes very versatile once it's set up. Being able to spread damage or do a considerable amount to the opposing active Pokemon along with 100 point sniping and auto burn with the Lvl X. Assuming you are playing the Delcatty/Typlosion version there really isn't much room to play around with, but those two can accomplish quite a bit. Delcatty speeds up your setup and allows you to quickly move into mid and then late game. Delcatty Ex can OHKO in the right situation and help replenish your deck. Typhlosion serves more than one function in the deck, it's main function is to constantly supply Moagmortar with enough Fire energy to keep your attacks consistant. Secondly, Typlosion serves as the backup attacker for the deck. While Typhlosion's Evaporating Heat attack only does 60 (similar to Gardevoir) it's other effect of discarding a water energy (which includes DRE and Scramble) can be a game swinging move.

On a side note the two decks seem to be designed to counter each other. Magmortar thrives when allowed to abuse it's many Pokepowers turn after turn, where Gardevoir has an attack that prevents this. G&G abuses DRE and Scramble, which Typlosion can discard. Each of the main attackers has a setup attack and a straightforward high damage attack, but Magmortar's healing with Flame Body can somewhat counter Gallade's Sonic Blade attack.

The question as to which deck is better really depends on what kind of deck you like. G&G is a great early to mid game deck, but fades in the end game. Magmortar starts slower, but picks up power the longer the game goes on and usually dominates the end game. The thing I notice that seems to be missing is a dominant early game deck. These would seem to include the stars of the Fall BR's Blissey and Kricketune, along with the recent addition of T2Banette and possibly something that would be able to abuse Electrode, but I'm not sure if any of those can stand up in the long haul against either G&G and Magmortar.

gg is such a bad deck. i use magmortar and i beat most g&g decks (unles there a lucksack and i got a horrible setup) i play. the only reason g&g wins is because
1. most games are mirror matches
2. they get paired up agenst good matchupps or n00bs
3. 90% of the metagame is g&g
