Teck For Darkri

most people are going to be using Weevil or Blissey, but has any one thought of Wiggleytuff from Great encounters? Its power puts both active pokemon (your and your opponets) both to sleep. then play a switch/heal energy/SSU/full heal your darkri wake up sleep hole for 80 plus dark energies. its like the kid brother of flaridos. and if your worried about getting the switches use a furret or slowking.

It seems a little to hard, you may not get everything, and getting them like switch etc. may take to long IMO. It's intresting but I think other things are better.

Darkrai is a good card, but it's not going to be doing anything major. Not as long as this guy is around. It's unfortunate, since Darkrai is such a fun card. Oh well, i guess even he has nightmares.

Why do I keep seeing tech threads. It's so silly. Especially when they pick bad cards to tech for. Darkrai is terrible. Too much work just to get a pokemon sniped to death.
Techs for darkrai
Lucario
Empoleon
Magmortar X
Blaziken(Both)
(insert any sniping pokemon here)

Shadow Zangoose, you meant to link to Gallade, right? Playing something that has double weakness to the most played deck at cities is probably not the best idea.

No, i meant to link to Magmortar LV X. Nobody in their right mind is going to send Darkrai up to attack against a Gallade deck.

Darkrai is one of the worst cards in the set nuff said.

I wouldn't go that far. It's a good card, it just has serious problems with Magmortar. The redneck clown can just discard two fire energy, and send Darkrai back to the abyss he came from. You can't hide on the bench either, and that's just not cool.

All things considered, it's a good card. It just has some shortcomings. Mainly the HP and weakness.

Sorry I didn't really mean it like that but I just think it can't win anything against most of the popular decks because GG and mag and a few other decks easily beat it.

Wiggly, Darkrai, and Sydney's Stadium is probably the most stable combo to work with. If you do get the Lvl X up on Darkrai to attack you're looking at 110 for 3 energy every turn until you run out of Darkrai. If you add Weavile and play Igglybuff, Wiggly can smack for 80 itself as a backup attacker. These take into account having a Darkrai Lvl X in play or special Dark on the attacking Pokemon.

blissey looks to be the most realisticly useable, especially since wigglytuff is fighting weak anyway, i have always wanted to play weavile-lickilicky-darkrai

sadly with so few premiere rated tourneys left fun decks won't see play

Maybe stick Darkrai Lv X in a Honchkrow deck to give your Murkrows/Honchkrows the ability to do more damage?

Otherwise, use with Weavile/Blissey sounds about right.

I followed Darkrai because he had candy.

The Ghetto Overlord's original post didn't specify the level X. Darkrai is the very meaning of tech. You grab special energies to power your pokémon. Seriously, grab scrambles until a couple darkrais are KOed then scramble spread or something. They fear Dakrai LvX as well.

That wouldn't work. Murkrow is allowed to use Honchkrow's attacks for free, but the drawback is that it doesn't get any increase from special :dark: attached to Honchkrow (the good part is, it also doesn't get any decrease from DRE attached to the Honchkrow) - or were you planning to add :dark: to the Murkrows in addition to having a fully powered Honchkrow on your bench?
