I wanted to build a deck that could counter both gallade and blissy for the upcoming states. Tell me what you think.

Pokemon: 13

4 absol
4 baltoy (GE)
3 claydol ex
2 claydol ge

Trainers: 30

4 quick ball
4 dusk ball
4 great ball
4 ER2
3 windstorm
3 lake boundry
2 TGW (this is for disruption, along with the other disruption I already have.)
2 warp point
1 scott
2 plus power
1 strength charm

Energy: 17

4 multi
11 psychic
2 cyclone energy

Alright so theres my list, the reason I used a semi ball engine is that I could get rid of cards out of my hand fast enough so that I can be using claydol ge power every round for a decent amount of cards.

Strategy: start out with an absol and with the ball engine speed through all your pokemon untill you have a claydol ex and claydol ge set up, (it should be turn 2 for one or 2 of them to get set up) then while disrupting your oppenent with absol and ER2, start loading up the claydol ex so its ready to one hit blissy or gallade.

I was thinking about adding in 1-1 lati lock in here for magmorter and other deck that relys on bodys.

Comments and suggestions would be great, Thanks.

where are the crystal beaches isn't claydol ex weak to phychic if so a smart gardillade player would power up a gardevoir and just run through your pokemon

put in a stage 2 maybe that can stand good against magmortar...which him gg and blissy are played alot in my area..so ive seen this setup somewat before..

I wouldn't use quick balls with absol and 3 supporters isn't enough. Play 4 team galactic's wager because once Claydol GE is out you can draw up when you lose and shuffle-draw 2 when you win. Which rocks particularly early on with Absol.

i would advise no ex...maybe the straight ge line 3-3 ..srry bout that...also a thought maybe play rhyperior??

Thanks for the dis pikachu rox. It is a hard match up against magmorter, but its still winable. Gardy is will also be double weak if i have a lake boundry in play. The claydol ex makes the deck usable. The reason I use mostly the ball engine is to run through my cards really fast then use claydol ge. Why rypherior?

just pointing out. If you run in to Cress Lv X, they can do 80 damage to your Claydol ex and potentialy get 3 prize cards from one KO

The downfall of cressilia level x is that it takes three turns to set up, unless you run it teched in to GG with a tech pk gardivior, which kinda ruins the point of the gardilade deck.

Claydol Ex has double weakness to Gardevoir. Gardevoir has double weakness to Claydol with Lake Boundary in play. So lessee what happens.

You KO Gardevoir; 1-0
Gardevoir KO's you: 1-2
You KO Gardevoir: 2-2
Gardevoir KO's you: 2-4

See? And they can use DRE and Scramble to outpace you. Or use Windstorm to get rid of your Boundary. So yeah, I doubt that this is an actual counter.

That, and Gardy X and Gallade can both survive.

please explain how this matchup is winnable other than t2ing a skitty.

Scipo, claydol sets up faster then GG. with an absol start disrupting there hand the chances of them getting a gardivior quicker then my claydol are very low, ecpessialy because I run the ball engine and claydol ge. And i can one hit either gallade or gardy with 1 plus power or strength charm.

Magmorter is like any other matchup thats not blissy or gallade, you have to kill them with absol early game then just 2 hit the magmorters, nothing else you can do. Maybe need a tech against magmoreter, but it isnt heavily played in my area.

This is assuming they can set up 2 gardys in a row after being Absol'd in the beginning of the game. If they DRE gardy, they can't OHKO Claydol. They wouldn't be able to scramble the 2nd one, because they'd be up a prize. Your example is very very far fetched.

Cress Lv.X is a 1 hit without Lake Boundary in play.

YOU LOSE TO MAG WITHOUT MY TECH lol

Straight Absol/Claydol can't beat mag, you're very right.
