St. Louis Regionals will be April 12, 2008 at the MILLS MALL in Hazelwood, MO (North Suburb of St. Louis)
** USE ENTRANCE #1 Between Books a Million and Cabela*
EASY directions to get there - Highway 270 North to Highway 370, get off a the FIRST EXIT North on Hwy 370 - St. Louis Mills !
To get to the event, enter either mall entrance 1 or 6 - there will be indicators on where to go from there!

OK, now that we are a bit closer, time for me to start the "hype" thread.
Regionals 2008 – Mills Mall, St. Louis Missouri
Come one, come all to the biggest Pokemon Festival in the Midwest!
When – Saturday April 12th, 2008
Registration begins at 9:00 am. First round will start at about 10:30, giving you PLENTY of time to enjoy the games and events outside of the main event! The Side events will be LIVE during lunch as well!
First – we are having a MAIN EVENT tournament where we players will be playing in one of three divisions – Junior Division (Born 1997 or later); Senior Division (Born 1996, 1995, 1994 or 1993) and Masters Division (born 1992 or earlier!)
The first 250 entrants will receive the Regionals Promo Card and a Badge for Playing in the Event!
The first 100 entrants will receive one of 7 Pokemon Level X Cards (Darkrai, Palkia, Diagla, Lucario, Infernape, Emploeon, Torterra) as randomly determined.
The next 100 entrants will receive a set of Pokemon Sleeves and a Deckbox.
Everyone who brings a new player to play will receive a free pack of cards, and a pack of cards for the new player!
The first 50 new players who show up will receive a FREE theme deck as well as a Pokemon Tin containing a set of sleeves and a deck box to keep their deck in! A GREAT starter set for a new player! If the new player comes ready to play, with their own deck, they can get 2 packs of cards instead of the theme deck!
Empty Pokemon Tins will be available for ALL who want them to keep and store their pokemon cards and supplies!!!
League Leader Bonus!
Any League Leader who brings 15 or more players to this event will get a FREE sealed BOX of Pokemon Cards! WOW!!!
For the MAIN EVENT!!!
The WINNER of each division will receive:
• A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 1st Place Trophy
• A Travel Award for the winner (including a parent or legal guardian for players under 18), U.S. residents only, to the 2008 U.S. National Championships at the Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio! (Visit www.originsgames.com for more information)*
• A scholarship award worth $1500
• Full Show Pass to the Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio.
• A reserved event ticket for the U.S. National Championships (player must complete and return Origins Pre-Registration form)

2nd Place

This is going to be the PERFECT Pokemon event for the Master Trainer, and for those just getting started with Pokemon, and for those who play for the sheer joy of Pokemon!
ART CONTEST DETAILS!!!
There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for each of 3 age divisions in the Art Contest.
Submissions must be turned in by the end of lunch to the Art Contest Coordinator (Side Events Coordinator will have a place posted for submissions near the art area).
All submissions are the property of Meganium45, and can be used in photos, and other reporting and promotion of this and future Regional Events.
If you REALLY want your art back, let me know and it will be arranged. I do get to take photos ahead of your reclamation of your art project.
Original artwork only. Photos of art, or other reproductions of entries are not allowed.
There is no limit as to medium. Art entries can be in the form of sculpture, pen and ink, color, pastel, ice sculpture, ice cream sculpture, but should be limited to one page or canvas. No books, or multi-page entries will be considered, except we will consider one page of a multi-page entry as specified by the entrant.
Judging will be done by the event staff, and other members which we choose to involve in the judging.
Prizes are cool, but the eternal glory is even better!

If you get them ALL right, you could be in a 3 question playoff for the title. (We always end up in a Playoff)

The questions are limited to - Card Trivia (all sets)...Cartoon Show Trivia (yeah, you watch it!)...Pokemon Movie Trivia (some of my favorite moments!!)...Pokemon "Worlds" History (which begins in 2004 in my book)...Pokemon Champions...Pokemon Badges...(Sorry, no video game questions...those are too tough with all the SHARKED games around)
The CONCRETE SQUIRTLE from the Fan Appreciation Tourney in 2002 will be making an appearance at the Regional too!!!
