Darkrai event coming?

Well, according to Pokebeach it's possible that the item needed to trigger the Darkrai event might be released in April at Toys R Us. Anyone else heard of this?

Also, why Toys R Us? Can't they put it somewhere like Gamestop instead? >.>
 
I also wish it would be at GameStop, but Toys R Us has larger space and....a more apropriate atmosphere if you get my drift. Not all parents want they're little kids who have Pokemon D/P staring, mouth a gape, at violent M-rated pictures and games. I have not heard of a date though, although I know it will probably happen sometime this year. Do you know when the Darkrai Movie will be out? I think I heard but forgot. If the movie is being released in March or early April, odds are that the gift will soon follow....

Yeah Us Canadians get the shaft everytime :( I've heard it has to do with some law that forbids it due to our legal system considering it a form of electronic gambling but this is just from the top off my head and is probably inaccurate . Argh I really want darkrai but not just regular darkrai, I want to soft reset for it till a shiny one pops up. So I either have to drive to the States, or find someone trustworthy to send a spare cart to and get them to download the event for me. :(

Well the main reason is that Nintendo is banking that while at Toys'R'Us you will buy Pokédise like the TFG, TCG, Plushes, Action Figures, etc.

Well I might be helping them do this event at the Midlothian VA, one.
 
Know what has happen previously, it will mostly likely end up happen on the 12th, and everyone will get upset because they cant do Regionals and Darkrai the same day.

But that is JMO,

Yes, uh how exactly would you be helping? With DS events, since the stuff is downloaded from DS wireless stations, and not traded, I don't think there's really any point to helping them with anything. It's all pretty much automated. :rolleyes:
 
Well even if it's automated, it's always nice to have events staff or assistants. At the Manaphy event I attended, they had a Pokemon coloring page table set up as well as adults assisting younger children. After all the theme of Pokemon is communication, and it wouldn't be a very good experience if you were only downloading data from a wireless signal XD

I was just curious myself, not questioning what he could actually be helping with. At Midlothian TRU where me and him would go, they did have a table with 1 or 2 guys there telling you what to do for the Manaphy one. There wasen't much to really do except download the pokemon in a few seconds, and then leave.
 
Well helpers could always make sure that if there are requirements to download the item/Pokemon that all participants have that. Also, in the Manaphy event documentation in the form of a Pokemon news letter/booklet from the Pokemon club was handed out. While helpers wouldn't be fundamental, I believe any soul willing to help and participate would be welcomed by Toysrus. Plus, an experience is far more memorable if it's more than "Go into store, find download spot, download data, leave".
 
April is too far away for anybody to receive the triggering item.

It should be next month or in a couple of weeks. Simply because the movie's coming out in 2 weeks.
