Notes: My first posted deck here on Pokegym. Please, do tell me what to cut and what to insert, and do state why. (I'm currently using Redshark for this deck. Just seeing if it is a reasonable deck to play competitively, with GG and Magmortar out and whatnot.) :)

Strategy: Here, Ampharos and Magneton are both evolved Pokemon. The rest are Basics. Rare Candy is needed for Ampharos as I have no Stage 1's for Mareep. Magneton doesn't really need a Rare Candy, but Ampharos does to help the setup.

Pachi is here to search up some Basics (Mareep, Rayquaza ex (d), Raikou, Magnemite, other Pachi).

Magneton's Magnetic Force can help when most of your Energies are used. Magnetic Field can be used if you need any Basic Energy and you don't need a card in your hand.

Doing so, you can regain Lightning Energy for Raikou and use Thunder Rumble. Adds 10 damage to one of your Opponent's Pokemon. Since you have two, you have a backup if one Raikou fails. Searchable via Pachi and other cards because of its Basic class.

Ray can target an Opponent's Benched Pokemon at hit 50's if they have a Poke Body or Power. Load up a Lightning Energy to Raikou, do 10 to a target with a Poke Body or Power, then snipe the same Pokemon with Ray. You don't need Ray as much as you need the others, and I didn't have multiples of him. This is to save myself from playing copies of him while desperate, and if they got knocked out, it will cost me one more Prize Card away to loss.

Ampharos' Jamming can hurt them if they constantly use Supporters. Most Decks use them, right..? For Cluster Bolt, use one Lightning Energy while you use a DRE. You won't waste Energy this way. Discard with Cluster Bolt, spread around 20 damage to each of your opponent's Benched while you hit a 70 on their Active. You can get two Basic Energy back thanks to Magneton.

Scramble Energy is there to help your Energy problems if you are losing. Cyclone Energy forces them to switch. Basic Lightning is your ammo for Raikou and Ampharos. DRE is self-explanatory.

Warp Point is there to make an opponent switch first, then you can switch to the right Pokemon for the job.

Windstorm away threats like attached Unown Gs and Crystal Beach. You've got three. Just in case.

Welcome! first off, you don't have to say the set#, what stage it is, or :, just do x instead.

Windstorm - not needed because you have pachirisu to discard tools and people don't play cessation crystal

-2 Magnemite
-1 Magneton
-1 Raikou
-1 Ampharos SW
-3 Windstorm
-6 Double Rainbow ( you can't have 6 in a deck and you don't need them)

now to add in........

+3 Lightning
+1 Ampharos DF
+1 Spearow CG
+1 Fearow CG (all your pokemon are delta if you have Ampharos delta)
+1 Celio's Network
+2 Professor Oak's Visit
+2 Pikachu MT
+2 Raichu MT (good for collecting energy)
+1 Team Galactic's Wager (it's great for messing up your opponent!)

alright I hope this helped. Good luck! :thumb:

Ah, thank you! How many DRE's can you have in a deck? I really need a rulebook. I've been out of the game for so many years. I'm really using the DRE's because Magneton's MG Force isn't limited to how many Pokemon you have in play, but how many Energy (not as Cards, but more as "currency") is attached to your Pokes.

Unless, Ampharos D counts Basics and Evos in your deck in play? Then that can be a viable option as well. (Does Delta Circle count Ampharos D in it's damage calculation? If so, it'll max out at 80 without modifiers?) :)

I think that Pachi can't remove an attached Unown G because G makes effects not happen (I've read it somewhere in Ask The Masters).

I'll try your variation out. Thanks again! :)

have u thought of magnezone???

I have, but I thought the setup for Magneton would be easier and you wouldn't need to attach as many Energy to do more damage. If I used Magnezone, I'll have to add Metal Energies onto it to get it powered up. What if it gets KO'd? That means all those Energies and turns stocking it up is a bit wasted. If I used Magneton and it gets KO'd, not much is lost if I attached Energies to Pokemon on the Bench.

use a pokemon that recycles energys...also u can use multis, boosts, scrambles etc for that matter...i think go 4 magnezone its a beast if u use it right...or add a small pory z line???

aight this aint no star warz lets name our decks normally, aight
reject y'all arrogance, and y'all become a better person mayn i know ALL bout that mayn comeon
ok but how does this deck beat gallade, or even magmo-tar? foreal....

Oh, ignore Spoinxx. It's good to see someone with an interesting idea - not everything is measured in how well it stands up to Gardy/gallade or Magmortar.

And the name is catchy, too. We try to have inventive names here in Kentucky, not just mashing together pokemon names. That's no fun.

You can only have 4 of any kind of special energy, so you'll have to trim your DREs by two.

I think you've got an interesting concept - there's no hardcore Lightning decks out right now.

I would suggest running Rotom in there - perhaps -2 DRE, -2 Windstorm, +4 Rotom. 2 energy for 60 damage and paralyzation on a coin toss is certainly worth it.

I disagree that you don't need DRE - it's always good to have that random drop of 2 energy to throw off your opponent.

-3 Raikou, +1 Celio, +2 Switch
-1 Rayquaza, -2 Cyclone +3 Lightning

Try that out, yeah?

Thank you Venjamin and Nevermore!

The Rotoms are a nice addition. I'm a bit lucky with the flips lately. :)

I removed the cards that needed cutting (Raikou, Ray, Cyclone) and added in a few others. I'll update later. I'm testing another deck. :)
