states championship report
So I started of the day getting up at flippin 4:30 in the morning only to go back to sleep until 7:00. So basically I paced for 2 hours until I decided to play COD 4 until it was time to leave.
So I get there and do the decklist and stuff to get ready. I'm using Rush (empoleon/claydol) and playing for the new team I created with my friends, Team PWN.
seniors attendance - 34-37 people
rounds - 6
top cut - 8
Round 1 ? with noob deck
he starts with skitty and happiny and I start with pachi and piplup. I go 1st and COF for 2 baltoy and a piplup. he does 10 with skitty. I go and RC to empoleon, evolve both baltoy into claydols and cosmic powering to get my Emp powered up to beat him by turn 5. T3 I retreat pachi for empoleon and do 40 to the benched egg (happiny for noobs). Turn 4 I hit him with aqua jet and miss the flip. So I KO his last pokemon next turn FTW

Round 2 Boris with G&G/furret
I don't remember much other than sniping all of his ralts so he couldn't get gallade out. It was pretty easy, he didn't get 1 prize.

Round 3 Mike1 (mike diaz) with Magmortard/Claydol
Ok, this is basically an auto win but he put up an awesome fight. He kept setting up with his pachi start to my luvdisc start and thiings got set-up pretty quickly. With his scrambles that he used after I killed his mortars he was able to not get pwned. He was able to get out 3 mortard L.Xs during the game. Late game I was getting pretty hungry and in one turn he took a lot of time with so I just got hungrier. Late game it was 3-3 prizes and time was called. It went into SD and I got panicky. before hand I made a misplay that nearly cost me the game taking a Prof rowan instead of celio's with castaway. In SD he had a Mag Lv.X to my prinplup. I top-decked a celio's got empoleon and aqua jet FTW. Great Game MIke.

So now that there is only about 10 minutes left for lunch break I only get one slice because the line is so long. Standings come up and I'm 3rd.
Round 4 Dylan Bryan G&G with surprise tech.
I didn't know what to expect, I've never beaten Dylan so I was intimidated. So we set up with our pachi starts and he has on his bench 3 ralts, 1 baltoy, and 1 ?diglett?. So once I figured out he was playing dugtrio CG, I was like WTH!?!?!?!?! It really didn't matter since he set up literally EVERYTHING and pwned me. Great game Dylan.

Round 5 Alex Maiman with Magmortard, delcatty, Typhlosion
This is basically an auto win but I keep on my feet anyway. Since I basically ohko all his mortards. when I had 1 prize with him at 4 with him having just 2 typhlosions out and a catty and pachi, I basically had the game. GG Alex

So my friend Robert lost the first match and came back to win 4 (OMG!) I possibly could face him which should be an auto win (Rush vs. T2houndoom) right. Well speak of the devil.

I get the worst possible start

he goes 1st attaches and passes I draw a windtorm attach and do peck for 20. He evolves and uses darkfire discarding darkness for the KO. I bring up baltoy and it is my turn. I draw TVR and inside my head I am like (yay I might have a chance) I use TVR and DRAW 3 WATER ENERGY!?!?!?!

I just got enough empoleon out to take out the swampert while he kep Drewing (whining) that he had 3 basic water nrgy prized

He is able to get everything he needs while he take me out with Palkia Lv.X/Swampert. Not whining anymore I guess.

We both set up and because I'm getting tired I'm not going to post the entire match. However when I had 3 prizes to 4 with 1 minute 10 seconds on clock he hammer armed me for 80 making my emp at 50 left. About 1 minute left and I just cosmic powered/supporters until time ran out making today the first time I ever tried to stall Sad

anyway, the only people left in top4 are me, rob, Dylan, and Diaz. Although I thought I would play diaz to possibly get T2 I face Dylan.
