NOTE: I enjoy inventing decks. They are not all geared towards winning but they focus on fun strategy's.
It is just a game, right?

I wanted to make an Honchcrow lv. X deck because I think it would be intresting:

---------
Pokemon
---------
4 Murkrow SW
2 Honchcrow
2 Hunchcrow lv. X
3 Sableye SW
3 Sneasel DP
3 Weavile SW
3 Zangoose PK

---------
Trainers
---------
3 Night Maintenance
2 Premier Balls
2 Roseanne's Research
2 Bebe's Search
1 Sidney's Stadium
1 Moonlight Stadium
4 Leftovers
4 Switch
3 Warp Point
4 Power Plus

--------
Energy
--------
4 Special :dark:
2 DRE
2 Scramble
6 Basic :dark:

Strategy:
Okay, the obvious one way to go is to spam Murkrows with a Honchcrow lv.X on the bench.
I have put plenty of charging pokemon in it that either puts pokemon on the bench or give energy's.
Since I put in plenty Trainers I have put in a few Sableye. Special :dark: Energy's to balance out the effect of DRE and Scramble wil work fast since most pokemon will be KO'd fast even with Leftovers attached. It might need some improvement though.

Pros:
-Decent setup speed.
-Pokemon with :fighting: Resistance are rare.
-It's good for a laugh but don't expect to win tournaments with this deck.

Cons:
-Low HP
-Low attack power for most cards. Power Plus might not be enough.

Um, this deck is good for more than a laugh. It is actually very tournament competitive if you...

-3 Zangoose
-1 Sableye

and

+4 Absol SW

Other than that, this kind of deck works very well.

Definitely consider Darkrai / Lv. X in here. Honchkrow covers his weakness to Gallade, and it adds some much needed damage to the deck. It also benefits from Moonlight Stadium (which there definitely should be 3 of along with at least 1 Scott). Darkrai #3 even searches out your DRE for free for a possible turn 2 setup!

Weavile...I don't like it unless it's with Darkrai and Blissey. There's nothing to turn Dark to abuse it's power, and it lowers the chances of getting a good Honch start.

And where's all of the TGW/TGM/Absol? That's the best part of the deck IMO.

So, if I understand this right, it should be more like this?

---------
Pokemon
---------
4 Murkrow SW
2 Honchcrow
2 Hunchcrow lv. X
2 Sableye SW
2 Darkrai GE *3
1 Darkrai GE *4
1 Darkrai lv. X
2 Zangoose PK
3 Absol

---------
Trainers
---------
3 Night Maintenance
2 Premier Balls
2 Roseanne's Research
2 Bebe's Search
2 Moonlight Stadium
4 Leftovers
3 Switch
2 Warp Point
2 Team Galactics Mars
2 Team Galactics Wager
1 Scott

--------
Energy
--------
4 DRE
2 Scramble
8 Basic :dark:

I think you might be able to change the amount of Darkrai to fit your taste since *3 has a useless attack but can search for energy's.

Maybe subtract some lines, or maybe not. Your choice really. Yeah the original deck by itself just isn't good enough, since there are so many better pokemon out there. Darkrai is a good choice, it looks like it could be a pretty good deck. It looks like a solid trainer line, but you need to go 4 on the Absol.

My son used a deck smiliar to this. Here's the list.

Pokemon 16
4 Murkrow SW
3 Honchcrow (Two is better)
1 Hunchcrow lv. X (Two is better, but we only have 1)
2 Darkrai GE *3
2 Darkrai lv. X
4 Absol

Trainers 28
1 Night Maintenance
1 TSD
3 Roseanne's Research
4 Celios Network
3 Castaways
3 Buffer Piece
3 Warp Point
4 Team Galactics Mars
3 Team Galactics Wager
3 Plus Powers

Energy 16
4 DRE
1 Scramble
7 Basic
4 Special Darkness

This deck works really well with one exception -- G&G! Like so many other decks, it's good, but couldn't seem to handle G&G. I was actually thinking of adding a 2-2 Mismagius line to help against the G&G match up, but I think that's too many Pokemon, which makes for consistency issues.

Moonlight Stadium helps out a lot in the GG matchup IMO. It allows you to play some cute Warp Point tricks just like them and it gets your Darkrai out of trouble if you see them charging up a Gallade.

That is why I put it in.
It frustrates the opponent since you can freely switch while also forcing to send a weak Benched Pokemon that gets KO'd quick.

I found that this deck couldn't do enough damage vs. G&G. It's almost guaranteed that my opponent's Gallades will OHKO 2 of my Pokemon, and Gardevoir Lv. X's Bring Down really hurts too becuase this deck has low HP Pokemon. It just couldn't get the last 1 to 2 prizes for the win against G&G.

This is just what I saw from my son playing.

Unown G protects against the effects of Bring Down, Psychic Lock and Sonic Blade! Don't know about the extra damage from Psychic Cut though. But the Murkrow line has actually Fighting resistance. It also forces the opponent to use Psychic Cut since Sonic Blade does not work on pokemon with Unown G attached.
Roseanne's Research helps with the search for Unown G btw.

Unown G is more useful to pokemon with high HP to protect them from Sonic Blade and it doesn't do anything to Psychic Lock (the effect is on the player not the Pokemon). The HP for Honchkrow and Murkrow are low enough, even with resistance, to just flip prizes over to KO them. As for the original deck, Zangoose (PK) just isn't really needed. You want to start with Absol and hope you aren't facing a deck with Claydol. You definitely don't need 7 switch cards, try using 3 and use the other spots for either more search or more draw cards. Leftovers isn't going to help out all that much as well given that most of your pokemon have low HP nd will get OHKO'd more often than not. Buffer Piece might be a better choice, but overall you can probably do without healing and just try and trade KO's as best as you can.
