hey, this is my decklist for the last state championship , it runs quick after getting claydol, but cosmic power abuse+ serene grace = quick decking , well, hope you guys could help me , thanks in advance

My Original List

Pokemon 21

4 Gible
2 Gabite
3 Garchomp
3 Togepi
2 Togetic
3 Togekiss
2 Baltoy
2 Claydol

Trainer 23

4 Bebe´s
3 Celio´s
2 Prof Rowan
1 TGW
1 Steven´s
1 Pluspower
1 Strenght charm
2 Windstorm
3 Rare candy
1 Drake´s
1 Crystal beach
1 Switch
2 Night maintenance

Energy 16

4 Water (for magmortar)
4 Psychic (for G&G)
2 Lightning (for mirror or togekiss variants)
2 Grass (for claydol)
2 Fire
2 Fighting

The strategy as you may know, is very simple, use Togekiss´ serene grace to attach energy to Garchomp, use claydol for draw. the toge 3-2-3 line is just for incresing chances of getting them early game. Bebe´s and Rowan for putting back energy to deck and shuffling them after cosmic power (don´t let them in the bottom so serene grace have more chances for getting energy). Bebe´s + celio´s= More chances of getting a turn two claydol, garchomp, or togekiss with rare candy.

Some changes done After some testing
changes in bold

Pokemon 19

4 Gible
2 Gabite
3 Garchomp
3 Togepi
1 Togetic
2 Togekiss
reduce the evolution line as i only need 1 serene grace for getting started
2 Baltoy
2 Claydol

Trainer 26

4 Bebe´s
1 Celio´s
3 Great ball
Reduce celio´s and adding great ball for a quicker setup, or maybe taking out the last celio, and make a 2-2 of great ball and masterball
2 TGW
2 Steven´s
Take out 1 rowan and adding a more consistent 2-2 sinergic and disruptive (not at all ) wager-advice (use wager, win or lose you can cosmic power for 3 or even more cards, or cosmic power until 6 cards in your hand, then use steven´s)
1 Rowan
3 Pluspower taking out a switch and an energy to ad 2 more necesary plus powers, i would like to add one more, but i don´t know what to take out.
1 Strenght charm
2 Windstorm
3 Rare candy
2 Drake´s
1 Crystal beach
2 Night maintenance

Energy 15

4 Water (for magmortar)
4 Psychic (for G&G)
2 Lightning (for mirror or togekiss variants)
2 Grass (for claydol)
1 Fire there are not so many metagame grass decks or even rogue decks with fire weakness, please correct me if i´m wrong
2 Fighting (Blissey, darkarai, pachirisu)

hope you can help me fix this deck, my mayor problem is to try to don´t deck myself, i was thinking on adding another night maintenance

pretty good list....is it consistent enough for you?....I have been testing it also....still kind of slow....I have a different trainer line....I think you should drop grass (don't worry about claydol he can't hurt you much ) and add either fighting (to power your claydol) or psychic (meta game)and 15 energies makes setting up Serene grace not as effective....I would also drop drake and add in crystal beach (hurts meta game).....good luck with your deck....don't know if mine will be ready for regionals

would you mind you trainer line? would be great to compare mine with yours. maybe you're right about taking out the grass energies, and adding the fighting ones.

with 16 energies I draw up to 3 energies on each serene grace, sometimes more than 4 on the first one, how it works for you?

Any suggestions for not decking myself?

mmm, very interesting, haven´t thought that, but, dragon fang base damage is 70, using a plus power garchomp could K.O. a bannette, maybe adding another plus power would be a better idea since serene grace is so random and i´m not using energy searchers, what do you think Blaziken? thanks for the support

Darkness is far more important than Grass and Fire.

And I don't think that Rowan is that useful, Steven and Wager are better.
Most players have many Pokémon on their bench today, so you can play a Steven after Claydol to draw into your PlusPowers and Gyms (btw play only Crystal Beach, this is better than Drake's Stadium).

I don't like Great Ball in this deck.
Pachirisu as starter and/or Roseanne's Research (which can also search the fitting energy for Rainbow Scales) do a great Job. Of course Great Ball is faster, but it also takes space in your deck just for searching ONE basic Pokémon.

AHAH, SORRY  I didn't remember bannette's resistance to colorless, it would be great then, maybe 1-1 dark and grass, or replacing grass for dark.

what about my trainer line? it seems consistent? have you tried any other combination?

To Shadow guard

I think i´m going to take your advice and take out Rowan, and fill the spaces with steven's and copycat, and also the one about replacing drake's with crystal beach.

I thought about great ball or master ball instead of pachi and even of Roseanne´s, because as you said, the balls are quicker, and i can use a celio´s or bebe's after them, with a rare candy to get an early claydol.

Nice deck. I like the idea very much myself. You should put in Pachirisu though. For sure. Keep the Togekiss line 3-2-3 or 3-1-3 cuz theres no need to have Kiss at 2 instead of 3. Same with Garchomp line, make it 4 Garchomps. Good idea to take out Ho-Oh. If your playing Ho-Oh, you can't play Garchomp. Get more Celio's, and drop the 2 Drake's for 2 Crystal Beach's. Drop the Great Balls for Master Balls, and drop 2 or 3 Bebe's and go up to 3 or 4 Celio's. You can drop the Rowan, and drop the Strength Charm. Go up 1 Plus Power also. You want all Plus Powers or all Strength Charm, not both. You will want to put in the types of energy that decks in the current metagame will be weak to. Try putting in some Dark btw, that should help.

Try to balance the energy more, and add 1 Garchomp and take out something. Like maybe an energy.

-1 Grass for something... and +1 Chomp taking out something..... wait...... THAT'S IT!! GRASS FOR CHOMP!!

Try to balance the energy more, and add 1 Garchomp and take out something. Like maybe an energy.

I don´t know about playing with 14 energy, i think serene grace works properly with minimum 15 energy, there has to be with probabilities or something like that, but i suck at maths so I´m just relying on my testing , by the way , only 3 garchomp should be played, 3 are enough for consistency. but i´ll test with -1 energy and +1 garchomp as you both said just for being sure , thanks guys

You need a starter, 3 Pachirisu and 1 or 2 Tauros CG, or 3 Tauros CG without Pachi

i would like to test this also, but, in my opinion pachi or tauros would make a quick start but, you have to waste anenergy for using their attacks or retreating them or whenthey get K.O.ed, imagine if I use only 14 energies as Azure and Fygon suggested, minus that energy , that would be 13 available energies for serene grace or even normal attaching (also condsider that 1 or 2 would be prized), garchomp need 3 energies to attack, you may use at least 3 garchomp in the entire game, there are up to 54 available cards in the deck, so I think that it would be hard to get energies and also if you retreat the starter , you´ll be wasting that space in the bench.

Creo que hablas español, no es así Mila?gracias por el consejo, dime que opinas :thumb:

Sorry for implying only 14 energies, thats not what I meant. You should probably take out some stuff to put in more. You have a lot of pokemon and a lot trainers in this deck considering how Togekiss decks usually run, thats why theres few energy. You could take some out, or you could leave it be. It shouldn't make that much difference with there being a few less energy, but I, personally, would go ahead and take out some stuff for energy.
