Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

what's the difference between PLOX and GG?

...wow, this format is horrible.

"Hey, guys, I have this awesome idea!"
"What is it, Grandmaster?"
"Let's use GG!"
"...but, everyone uses that..."
"Uhh.....well, let's take out some Gallades, add more Gardeviors, stuff in some known techs, and give it a fancy internet-speak name! That ought to get the kids talking!"
"Yay!! Oh Grandmaster, you truly are infinitely better at this game than me."
"I know."

-_-

How can Team R invent Plox? It's just taking out one card and putting in another. I prefer running 3-1 anyways.

nobody invented plox, it's a self evident idea. at most you can give credit for is for the name.
want proof that nobody invented plox? here's my post (on another forum) on the same strategy right before the states championships. i certainly wouldn't claim to have invented putting claydol, gardevoir and tgw together. it's simply obvious.

PLOX isn't a deck... it is an inferior Gardevoir Gallade. People just want to break the format. The best you can say about PLOX is that it is a DIFFERENT way of playing the deck, but roughly the same list. The fact is that Gardevoir Gallade is such flexible deck that there are numerous ways you can actually play it and be successful, and most of the time it doesn't see a big change in the lists. In fact, the three best Gardevoir Gallade players (IMO) all run similar lists but play the deck extremely differently. I don't know what this Claydol/Pachirisu nonsense is, but it is BAD.

Furret is essentialy to any good PLOX list.

I'd rather not describe the evolution of PLOX, aka the best GG list. To sum it up, our GG list at cities was what most people have right *now*. PLOX is just GG ahead of the curve, with stronger and more consistent numbers for the superior options of the deck.

if you believe that you havent played vs jokerboi.

haha, but bannette players will ALWAYS put all their bannettes in their discard, and when you finally knock out that little pest, they are left with 2 bannettes in their discard, 3 of their shuppettes (if you used bring down), and then they are pretty screwed. and what about sableye? run plox with sableye and jam bannettes attack. even if they use the first one to get rid of sableye, they still have only like 20 HP left.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

much more simply put: a newb Plox/G&G will never win against a newb bannette. a good G&G/Plox will always beat a good bannette.

Are you calling me, Alex H, and Chris B bad? Because we all got trounced by the same exact banette list in top cut of FL states when using identical GG lists.

Simple answer...

Hope more people use Magmortar and other rogues lol..otherwise we end up with FL states again.

With things like Banette which are one deck counters, you end up with basically one shot wonders like FL and major dissapointments like prolly what nats will be for a Banette player.
