Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

New content for Wii Games

I've seen a bunch of blatantly fake things saying there will be downloadable characters in Brawl. I'm super skeptical on this.
 
Seems too good to be true...and you know what they say about that.

Yeah, so I beleive him. It even has the lines from his TV in it.
Btw, I'll check my wii.

Also, anyone else hear about the pay to play service Nintendo will be using on some future games?

Just checked my wii. I did an update. It updated. I checked Wii shop channel. (My wii has also been on standy by mode for months). And I saw no letter like he had. I also have the SSBB box checked for updates pertaining to SSBB.

So yeah, I'm calling shenanigans on this one.

It came from Wiiplaza. They send newsletters on a regular basis. So this won't come from SSBB.
 
I remember reading about this on April Fool's day, so until something else comes along (like an official announcement), I'm considering this fake as well.
 
I would love for this to happen, but it will never happen... Wii lacks a hard drive to save any content, stuff like that will be way too many blocks and causing it not to safe. DLC will never happen. Just look at the problem with rockband for the wii, its coming out out but it won't be the same as the xbox or ps3 version, it will be the ps2 version, no DLC. Harmonix is actually trying to push nintendo to make a hard drive for them...

Before the release of TP, the directors said there is potential for DLC to be available for TP, such as new items/dungeons.

While it's possible to happen, it won't, so yeah you're right.
Just letting you know it was planned at one point though.
 
Speaking of downloads, I went into gamestop the other day and the guy working there told me that the wii would be getting a firmware update to HD.

lol, the Wii doesn't even have the hardware capabilities to output high definition. No firmware update can give it HD. And besides, the all of the Wii's current games aren't even made to display in HD.
 
The Pokemon game for the Wii really made me wish I had a Wii. Or a TV. :c
Nobody I know has the game.. D:

Oh, I know. I'm laughing at the Game Stop dude, not you. Here is another funny one. My friend once believed a K Mart dude that he could get a PS2 game to play on his original Playstation.
 
lol, that's a good one. Reminds me of the time an employee at walmart told my dad a Blu Ray player could play HD DVD's too. :lol:
