ello all,
this is my deck i plan on playing with after worlds with our DP6 (JPN DP5).
it takes advantage of Magnezone lvl X to do 80 and auto paralyze for 2 energy.
so here goes,

Pokemon: 18

x3 electabuzz (DP)
x3 Electivire (SW-aka Motordrive)
x1 Electivire Lvl X

x3 Magnemite (DP)
x1 Magneton (DP)
x2 Magnezone (DP)
x2 Magnezone Lvl X (JPN DP5)*

x1 pachirisu (GE)

x2 Rotom (MD-maybe)**

Trainers: 24
x3 Team Galactics Wager
x3 Felicitys Drawing
x3 Roseannes Research
x3 Night maintance
x4 Rare Candy
x4 Pokedex
x4 Dusk ball

Energy: 18
x8 Electric Energy :lightning:
x10 Metal Energy :metal:

*-----------------------------
Magnezone LV.X
140 HP (M)
Level-Up

Poke-Power: Electromagnetic Trance
As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may choose 1 Lightning Energy or 1 Metal Energy attached to one of your Pokemon and move it to another one of your Pokemon. This Power can’t be used if Magnezone is affected by a Special Condition.

(L)(M) Cyber Shock 80
Discard 1 Lightning Energy and 1 Metal Energy attached to Magnezone. The Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (+20)
Retreat: 4
**-----------------------------

Rotom L.37 Lightning – HP60
Basic Pokemon

[.] Dual Trans: Choose up to 2 Basic Energy cards from your discard pile and attach them to 1 of your Pokemon.
[L][C] Ene-Reflection: 30 damage. Move 1 Energy attached to Rotom to your Benched Pokemon. (If you have no Benched Pokemon, ignore this effect.)

Weakness: Darkness (+20)
Resistance: Colorless (-20)
Retreat: 1
------------------------------

so the main idea is to have magnezone x as the main hitter. you get electivire on the bench getting electric energy from the discard, and magnezone lvl x moves them up to him, attach for the turn with a metal energy, and hit for 80 plus auto paralyze.

the electivire goes well as an attacker for discharge as it powers itself up on the bench, and everything has free retreat with magnezone (DP) as you can move metal energy freely also.

Rotom from the entry pack DX 2008 (possibly Majestic dawn) can ATTACH 2 basic energy (any type) to a pokemon for no energy. could help with the metal energy discarding

thoughts? comments? smart remarks?

I have no advice to give other than I would change the Trainer line a bit.

Thank you for the PokePower translation though. I always did like the fluidity of Discard->Bench->Active for Energy.

great plan, u should hope that Magnazone X comes out in the next set so u can play it at nationals.

Thanks-its still a rough draft right now.

i am judgeing nationals-and i dont think it will be out until the set after majestic dawn-but you never know.

Without any DREs you could benefit 2-3 Crystal Beaches.
thanx- again, still just a rough draft, and it is for after the set rotation.

use the sw electabuzz, none of his attacks care whether or not elekid is underneath him
.......did you not read the list? thats the one i AM using.

and to anybody who want to know, the megnezone lv x are going for around $20 right now on ebay, so get them while their cheap (i got 2 for $30 today)

As far as i am concerned, the abbreviation says DP, and there was an Electabuzz in DP, so you might want to change the lettering to SW

2 for $30? geez

However i don't think the card will be in the set, i think it will be a Promo

From PokeBeach:
Magnezone LV. 46 - Lightning - HP 120
Stage 2 Pokemon - Evolves from Magnezone

Poke-Power: Super Connectivity
Once during your turn (before you attack), you may search your discard pile for a Lightning or Metal Energy card and attach it to your Active Pokemon. Then, put one damage counter on that Pokemon. You can't use this Poke-Power if Magnezone is affected by a Special Condition.

[L][C][C] Gyro Ball: 60 damage. You may switch Magnezone with one of your Benched Pokemon (do the damage before switching). If you do, your opponent switches the Defending Pokemon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokemon.

Weakness: Fighting +20
Resistance: Metal -20
Retreat: 3

You might want to try using this Magnezone instead and a 2-2-1 Electivire

I really don't think it is a good idea to try for 2 Magnezone Lv.X. You sort of need to be able to play one of the free retreat Magnezones, or else it isn't all that awesome. I think the consistency is the first issue to address, and 3-1 Lv.X will be more consistent. Also, make sure 4 of those Metals are Special ones.

^ G-Dog is quite right. Quite right indeed.
You definitely want the free retreat one, even if it just chills on your bench the whole game (which it shouldn't because its attack is nice).

Magnezone LV. X beastly?

Well, you might just drop the rotoms all together

-2 Rotoms
-1 TGW
-1 Night Maintenance

+2 Heatran
+2 Heatran LV.X

Unless the translation is gimped out, having Heatran LV.X and Electivire on bench with Magnezone Lv.X would allow for auto paralyze every turn. You can grab an electric from discard with Ele and attach the metal to Heatran and move it over, with Magnezone LV.X's ability.

Poke-Body: Heat Metal
Your opponent cannot remove the burn Special Condition from his or her Pokemon by Evolving, Devolving, or Leveling up. Count all of your opponent’s flips for burn damage as tails.

Poke-Power: Heat Wave
Once during your turn (before you attack), if Heatran is on your bench, you may use this power. During this turn, if your active [R] or [M] Pokemon’s attack would discard basic energy attached to that Pokemon, you may attach up to 2 of them to Heatran instead.

Weak: [W]x2
Resist: N/A
Retreat: [C][C][C][C]

A bit broken? Might be hard to set up.

Edit ** Okay, re-reading the pokepower, you don't even need Electivire. You can just attach the metal and lightning energy to Heatran when you use the attack.

i think keeping a balance of metal and lighting would be good i have a magnevire deck idea in the works i just have to put the finshing touches on it then i'll post with an arcticle of course the strategy and the hole explanation i just might get the deck to work even

You don't need special, he discards them for his attack so they won't do any good.
