What do you guys think i should do to this? do you think it would be good as it is?

20
4-3-1 Magmortar Lvl.x
2-1-2 Typhlosion
2-2 Delcatty
1-1 Alakazam
1 Unown G

24
4 Rare Candy
4 Rosanne's Research
3 TV Reporter
3 Celio's Network
3 Pokedex
2 Switch
2 Night Maintenance
2 Copycat
1 Premier Ball

16
12 Fire Energies
4 Scramble

Strat: well, you know mortar. alakazam in there to discard fires if i need it, blocking out other pokepowers. i like running delcatty for the discarding factor and because the number of cards in your hand doesnt factor. Im trying to decide what supporters to run though. copycat keeps me from decking out but i like wager too, that shuts down the opponent a lot, especially with furret running rampant. TVR is probably better than Felicity in this case.

Happy? <_< i wrote suggestions if needed.

well, here's the Pokemon lines I used at Regionals:

4 Tauros
4-3-1 Magmortar
2-2 Claydol (The Baltoy being from HP, not GE. The one that does 10 for [C]. It does 40 for [C] to Garde due to weakness. ^_^)

For me, Magmortar + Blaze/Typhlo is just too slow, and the end result is rather underwhelming. Plus, Garde can just shut off Typhlosion, making him just about useless, and what with Lati@lock possibly making a comeback, GG/PLOX can easily lock all of your Powers AND Bodies, leaving you with Magmortars that can't heal themselves and Typhlosions that can't fuel up your Magmortars. (Claydol is too good to not include, though).

Then, put 4 Cessation Crystals, 4 Wagers and 3 Castaways in. These will allow you to lock GG for a change. Also, replace the Switches with Warp Points, and add another Celio. Slip in 3 or 4 Holon FF if you're worried about Water (which, if you know what's coming out in MD, you should be). After you do all that, test the deck out against GG, PLOX, a hypothetical Eeveeloutions build, or anything else you can think of, and the rest of the deck should fall into place.

i dont really see the good in tauros o-o

plus, i never really marveled at magmortars pokebody. by the time i send out a magmortar it has 3-4 energies and i have another magmar i want to perpare for battle, i dont have time to waste energies on the active when its just going to get sonic bladed or something. usually mortar takes like 70, i heal, then i take another 70.... ko...

oh a question: would WP/unown G cancel gardevoir's psychic lock power for the pokemon unown g is attached to? it seems like it would.

My suggestions would be:

Pokemon
-2-2 Delcatty
-1-1 Alakazam
-1 Unown G
+2-2 Claydol (Claydol is better than Delcatty)
+2 Pachi (helps set-up, gets rid of tools, and can help against water Pokemon)
+2 Tauros (helps set-up and gets rid of stadiums)

Trainers
-1 Rare Candy
-1 Rosanne's Research
+1 TV Reporter
+1 Celio's Network
-1 Pokedex
-2 Switch
+2 Warp Ponts

Energy
-2 Fire Energies
-1 Scramble
+3 FF Holon (helps against water decks and Garchomp)

Magmortar's Pokebody is very powerful! You shouldn't underestitmate it . In fact, GG has trouble doing 70 damage once all their prizes are flipped.

Also, WP Holon and Unown G don't stop Psychic Lock's effect, since it's on the player, not the Pokemon.

I hope this helps!

all these suggestions are good :D thanks guys. but i guy the way i work..... i really dont like claydol for it <_<. Delcatty draws more than claydol on average in this deck and gets an energy in the discard. im gonna have a tough time getting used to heatran once it comes out too... i dont know if ill run it in here or not <_< stark mountain is a must but i need to go look what heatran x does.

This is my idea for your trainer line -2 rosannes reasearch +2 holon mentors also take out one Magmar and
add in a Dellcatty ex

meh, i figured theyd speed it up because we got a extra pack due to the cutting of the sets thing, and the prereleases would be in like july or something

I would switch the switches :)lol:) for warp point
you don't really NEED Premier Ball with only 1 Lv X...
I bolded some of the cards I don't think you need... but I'm not sure what you should add there... maybe a togekiss tech?

Tauros: It's mostly just to discard Crystal Beach and Lake Boundary. Sure, his CFF only gets two Pokemon compared to Pachi's three, but with the suggestions I gave you, you will not need Pachi. Tauros is good enough. Besides, the only tool that could hurt my version of Magmortar is Cessation Crystal . . , which I run. lol

Body: Yeah, that's why I put the Cessations in. Besides, nobody's forcing you to put them in play, so you can usually use mortar's body when needed.

Unown G: No. The effect of Psychic Lock resides on the Player, not any of his Pokemon.

Also, two Premier Balls are a must. That's like having three Lv X's.

If playing Alakazam, Claydol is usually better than Delcatty, as you have discard power in Alakazam/TV Reporters/Maggy Lv. X and want to be able to recover after lost Wager and powerblock.
