Same pokemon again and again...

I was sitting around looking at some cards that are coming out and this crossed my mind.

They seem to make pokemon cards of pokemon already out alot!
Like weavile. It was in DP1 and later they made a new one. Pachirisu did the same thing. Now empoleon, ape, and terra? I could go on, but im sure you see what im talking about.

Alot of friends and I are dissapointed in this. There are so many pokemon yet to have come out in DP series yet they just make new versions of pokemon already out. Of course, looking back, its always been like that. Mew Ex is out, then BWAM! They made another.
I mean sure, I dont see no problem with it if it was now and again, spaced out between some sets.
Just not again and again and again...
Im sure they could be a bit more creative.

"I have an idea" -O?-
"Lets make a Ditto or a pokemon we havn't seen in awhile" -Nah, how about another Claydol?-
"Genius!!!!!"

I chose a pokemon from random, keep that in mind please.

Is anyone rather then me feel this way at all? I mean theres nothing that I can do to change it so I have to live with it, but I just figured Id share that.

Lv Xs/Exs are the same in a way. Not by repeating, but it seems legendary pokemon get 1st dibs on being a LVX/EX pokemon. Im well aware that theres plenty that are not legends via LvX, but we never see things like a Rapidash Lv.X, why not? Heck, a Seaking Lv.X would be awesome! (No i dont play seaking lol) Im just saying that random things like that would be nice to see. Haha, a Spinda lv.X? I realize that choosing the big awesome popular ones help win it comes to keeping peoples interests but why not throw in at least 1 random pokemon in there? I think it would be cool.

Well I guess ill shush now, thanks for at the least, opening this thread
I guess I wrote this because I needed a break from all the bleach episodes im watching lol

You know what Pokémon they like to pretend doesn't exist? Jynx. Let's see a Shining Jynx* EX Lv.X or something awesome like that. It'd definitely be cooler than anything they've made in the past ice age.

Lol, fast response....

I agree, Tho a new one is out NOW but I understand.

Back in time I really wanted arcanine EX because growlithe is my fav! When that really happened I was so happy. Tho a Growly* would have made my day lol.

If I could spell for my life. I would like to say they seem to forgot
Im gonna take a shot here -Kangaskhan-

Hypno. Hypno needs waaaay more lovin' than he gets. There never was a Hypno EX. Probably won't be a Lv. X either because that'd mean they'd have to print the Lv. X one and a regular one to stick it to and they just can't handle that much Hypno.

Kadrabra. That's all that's need to be said :)

Shaymin, Arceus, Girtina, Heatran, They need love too!

Giritina is a cool Pokémon because it has TINA in it's name

Some info:

Although a lot of people hated Jynx back during the Red/Blue/Yellow generation, a new kind of shunning came to Jynx after she made her first major appearance in the American Anime. A Mrs. Carol Weatherford saw Jynx, and wrote an essay on how Japanese export characters such as Jynx and Mr. Popo from Dragonball strongly resemble blackface characters. Blackface is commonly seen as stereotypical and offensive to people of African descent. Unfortunately, Japan is a homogenous country and there aren’t a lot of "Africans" there, so they saw nothing wrong with Rougela's design. Nintendo of America freaked, though, and pulled Jynx’s merchandise, seemingly stopped showing Holiday Hi-Jynx[/]>, bannedThe Ice Cave, which was the episode majorly featuring Rougela, and edited out her other cameos from the series, including a 13 second appearance in All Things Bright and Beautifly. Jynx is now considered a controversial Pokemon in America, and in an attempt to make things right, Nintendo has recolored her purple in the video games. You can still see clips of the old Jynx in the Pokeraps, Pikachu’s Jukeboxes and >The Mandarin Island Miss-Match. The anime finally got around to using the new design of Jynx in the Pokemon Advanced episodes mentioned above.

If you google image search her, there's a few pics of Black Jynx. Good of Nintendo to change her.

Yes, I knew all that about Jynx. Believe it or not, that's the specific reason I chose Jynx as my example. The entire debacle was so stupid, too. Someone who doesn't understand that it was never offensive to begin with made a fuss and they banned the entire Pokémon for it.

Perhaps this would be a good time to point out that 490 of the current 493 Pokemon were given at least one card between DP1 and DP5 (Which will mean DP1-DP6 or if we're really unlucky DP7 in America)... the other 3 being Kadabra, Shaymin, and Arceus.
Be patient; you'll get the rest of the Pokemon within the next two or three sets.

Typically, the Pokemon that they make more cards of are the iconic and/or popular ones - there have been TONS of Pikachus; Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza had more EX forms than anyone else; There are at least 4 different alternate arts for the same Palkia and Dialga cards... etc.

How did they manage Abra and Alakazam without Kadabra? Did they reprint Breeder or what? Either way, it's just bloody stupid.

Abra has an attack that lets it Evolve to Alakazam.

New video game= new Pokémon. New Pokémon = new favorites. Focus on new Pokémon, sprinkle in the older ones, and people buy the cards.

Wow. I think the only dumber possible thing would've just been printing Alakazam as a stage 1 that evolves normally from Abra. Real cheap, ghetto controversy-avoidance there. Speaking of ghetto...

:psychic: :psychic: KADABRA, REPRESENT! :psychic: :psychic:

Well, I think with so many pokemon they need to start making sets a bit bigger. Maybe instead of having sets of 90-115 cards to possibly 125-150 cards. I know that seems like a lot, but if it meant getting 10-12 Lv. X per set and also having more pokemon playable it would be a good idea. There are a few pokemon that have only like 3-5 cards thta are from the original 151. I am not sure which, but I know there are a few of them.

agreed. Some pokemon never get their ex forms. BTW, 2-4 lvl x per set is absurdly little, we need more choices to make this game fun again!!

Its a marketing strategy. No one wants a Spinda LvX. They want a legend made into a lvX. Sells more packs that way.

o im aware of the whole marketing strategy, but like mentioned, If they was to simply increase the cards in the set, then you can add some others as well.

Hey it's possible. We have about 12 Lv.Xs that are yet to be released. It's possible we'll get more than we bargain for in the next set.
