World invite scenario question

Lets say that the World invites for Master's in North America finished the way it is today. All point leaders for their country captured 1st, 2nd and so on at their Nationals. Who or what place and points would get the last invite? sychic:

Right now it would be the top 25 in North America. The last place person to get an invite would be

25 Andrew Cox 1850.72 MA MA US

The big variable is Nationals. The top 4 get an invite, plus a trip. 5-8 get an invite. What happens if any (or all) of these 8 also end up in the top 25 in rankings?

It has been assumed that their invite will pass down, so potentially the player in 33rd place may actually end up with an invitation to play. However, I don't see anywhere on the FAQ for Worlds that this is correct. It may just be 25 players from North America.

3. Yee Wei C. MY (National Champ)
4. N.O.i.R. (Not opted into Rankings)
5. Marcus R. AU (Runner up)

7. N.O.I.R.
8. Lim Kit W. MY (Runner up)
9. Alan J. AU
10. Steven M. AU


Am I understand clearing that for Asia/Pacific with the above list as an example, the following people will get ranking invitation would be: Jason, Ranilo, Alan, and Steven?

Invitation "Pass Down" Awards
When POP calculates the final ratings for a given Zone, that rating will be checked against the invited players list. If a player who has already earned an invitation is ranked highly enough to receive a Premier Ratings invite, that invitation will be "passed down" to the next unqualified player from that same Zone. This does not mean, for example, that if a Canadian player who is top ranked in North America already has an invitation, the next Canadian player would be selected. Rather, the next unqualified player from that Zone (from the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, in this case) would be selected.


Same as last year, it's crystal clear to me....
