Hi all,

I arrived at pheonix games in leicster at bout 10:50 ish and went upstairs and got setup (decklists etc)
and saw freddy playing agaist this gut playing a metal deck. I looked around to check my opposition and played frddy myself in a friendly. We both got bad starts and he was playing arithmatic a deck i hace never played before it ended in the situation where we both had one prize left and he played and if he drew a pshchic energy he wins but if he dosnt i win but....he got the energy and tht was game..... anyway
the tournement get started and btw i played blissvire....:eek: yh i thought you mightg think tht




Round One:....Small Guy-Palkia/Mantine

This guy was so small iasked him is he was 10 or 11 nd he sed 14 and i was like :eek: anyway he played an interseting deck which used reconstructure thn retreated for free with mantine this is wat happened both games (btw all the rounds were best of 3)

-DEATH

by time id won the games the second round was just startin so i only had time to go to the toilet....


Round Two.......Smallish guy Gallade

This guy got one basic nd i won the first game with blissey turn 2 but the second game was slightly diiferent

He got Gallade turn one.....nd by turn 4 another so i had to be really careful with the energys and the pokemon but i won!!!......eventually

I was pretty mad to find out i left an umbreon star on the table nd this yu-gi-oh nerd triend to steal it but puttin it up his sleeve but my brother saw him.....well done angus

Round Three girl who looked like a boy....lol

This girl lacked total confidence and sed im gonna lose and well she did..

so tht was it and i won 18 packs

OllieK, Freddy K, the power is in the K! Awesome work and cool deck Ollie :) Awesome to hear Arithmetic winning too.

Did you report him to the TO and the Shop Owner? If he steals from you he probably steals from them too! Plus the TO should report and get him banned from both POP and UDE events - Stealing really is not worth it and will defintely get you banned from my events - and you will be reported..

I did I told them to watch out theres a theif about and his face just dropped cuz he thought it was a proper theif but thn i sed hes upstairs....and he was like no hes not and i say a guy tried to steal my card and he sed okay ill tell everyon to looke after there cards.

Haha, it was a fix!!! Actually, I think TMS got it _slightly_ wrong in the final printout as it also did throw up one of the 16-year-olds in the Seniors' division... but! Yes well done to OllieK who got 3-0 overall, as did I... both of us won our respective divisions.

NoPoke - attendance was ummm maybe 14 or 16 overall? Quite evenly distributed as well.

'pro - yes, Chris - the TO - was told and I think the last we heard the little YGO nerd was hanging by his damage counters from Leicester Clock Tower... *ouch* he was certainly given a talking to. I hadn't see him before but I don't think he'll be trusted ever again. He was seen staying quiet in the corner for the rest of the afternoon after he'd been dealt with.
A silver lining though... if we hadn't have got the boy I'd never have guessed OllieK had the Umby star... and we did a very successful trade for it afterwards! :)

OllieK - good playing today, I knew the odds were on my side in our friendly. I needed one energy from a Copycat of 10 to draw two prizes with Cresselia LvX (even though I only needed to draw one)... I wanted to see if it wass possible to do it and it was.. ^_^
I put the deck together after lending two cards from the deck I intended to play to another player, plus I lent a deck out to a third player.
Major props to Jimmy Ballard for the original concept.
My version was enhanced by a few key cards that made the engine a lot lot more stable. Best moment in the day was KOing an opponent's fully charged Magmortar for 40 with a Flailing Magikarp... it turned the game! If he'd not have put 20 on there I'd not have been able to KO it next turn... but he had no choice but to go for it. (BTW Lake Boundary was in play so it wasn't 50... although it's scary how Magikarp could have been even more menacing..!!)

Good games, good SOTG, an event enjoyed by all. Well done Phione-ix Games!!
Really hope we can snag a States this year!

im glad tht tht yu-gi-oh kid got told off because steqling is not nice considering he was a yu-gi-oh player trieng to steal a pokemon card?!?!!?!?!? maybe he played both....There really should be a states there but there was no medal yesterday so will there be a trophy?????
 
i always dreamed of having a pokemon tornement location in the midlandsas everywhere else is too far....So when leicster was selected i was happy until i found it still takes 1:30 to get there and thats the closest it gets
 
I came first at the junior devision there! WHY DID NO ONE MENTION ME, JONATHAN COWLEY, THE ONE WITH THE ELECTIVIRE DECK????

so....nationals soon at Leicster we need to make a nats preparation on the week before the nats. Also iv'e noticed tht there are lots of teams...dyou think its worth making a team midlands or somthing? Cuz that would be well cool

Would be great to have another pre-Nats event, yes good idea!

Teams? I'm sure we'll be supporting each other on the day anyway :smile:

yes but its a PRE-nats event so it's basically preperation. I see what youve thought but it's basically a warm up
