new emp's 1st attack does 20 more total damage than old emp's 1st attack. new emp's 2nd attack does 30 more damage than old emp's 2nd attack. yeah you might damage your bench, but thats a risk worth taking to do 30 more. i dont get why you would run both emps. the new emp is waaaay better in every way.

So if it's only useful early on (damage spread), or otherwise it'll have to be useful mid game as well as late game...
Doesn't that mean it's always good? I don't... Think we're missing anything here, other then the obvious energy crisis (which is solveable) and that it's a stage 2 (balanced out by its... slightly above average HP, as well as okay pre-evolutions)

There are enough cards in the game that allow you to have a well built up bench at all times (even if the bench is made up of random junk like Pachirisu and Rotom), making the qualifier on Empoleon's Group Surf not as problematic.
 
I dont like empoleon md or dp,dp1 cards make my head hurt.>.< and thinking of the new ones which are ok,dosent help the migranes.
 
Empoleon is a bad card compared to the rest of MD, and wont see much play. It just doesnt combo with anything.
 
Oh well, We all have our OWN ways of running our OWN decks. So I mean if I choose to run him like so, then I will, BUT you all made valid points, but I might switch him out alittle, until I have found the right choice for me. You Cant pass up the DP one at all, I mean even as a 3/1 tech to the DP5 one, he still should be used. He is Very consistant, and is still VERY playable. I mean I MIGHT eventually switch from 2/2 to some other set-up, but I mean its all just Test Play until Nats, even BR, am I right???
 
Empoleon is the 3rd best card in MD, next to Call Energy and Phione. Quote me on it!

(Unless Kingdra sneaks in there, then we're all effed)
