Here Team Candy-Eating Eevees (TC-EE) will explain why M&Ms will become Archetypes. Well, first off, they are very good. Why? Because there are 7 different evolutions of Eevee and 6 different types. You can know what the current Metagame is and just choose which of the 6 different types of Eeveelutions that you want to use. For example: G&G and Magmortar are really popular so, I will use Glacion and Espeon. Just tech in Stregth Charms/Plus Powers and Lake Boundarys and your good to go.

Claydol and Phione: Since there are many different Evolutions of Eevee, you will need Claydol for consistancy. Also Phione to even get to your Claydol. If you have time, use Phione to get out the kind of Evolution of Eevee that you want. Just see what deck your opponent, find there weakness, then you will know which of the Evolutioins that you want to use on your Eevee.

Trainers of the Deck: Premier Ball will help because there are 2 different Lv.X's in the deck. Glacion Lv.X and Leafeon Lv.X. Premier Ball helps to snatch out those Lv.X's right away when you need and with Claydol it's even better. Bebe's Search will be used also. Because, with Claydol, you can get rid of a card opening up an extra space to get 1 more card with Claydol's Cosmic Power. Steven's Advice will be handy because: Many people are using Pachirisu. That way, it allows you to draw extra cards with Steven's Advice. Steven's Advice is also good because you will normally have 6 or less cards in your hand because Claydol's Poke-Power.

Glacion/Lv.X: It is the main attacker of the deck and is the best tech for against Magmortar. Regular Glacion has helpfull attacks for bad situations. Why? Because, the first attack can allow you to stall if you are not set up and need more time. The second attack can let you go through Resistance, Lucario Lv.X's Poke-Power Stance, and many other things. The Lv.X of Glacion has a broken Poke-Body. While Glacion Lv.X is active, your opponent may not use ANY Poke-Powers. Not only that, he does 70 damage for 3 energys and with the coin flip, can allow you to hit the bench for 20 each. That's 170 damage right there if your opponenet has 6 Pokemon in play.

Leafeon/Lv.X: These are broken for the Poke-Power. Regular Leafeon has average attacks but the Lv.X has an awsome Poke-Power allowing you to attach any additional energy a turn. Not just a basic grass energy, but any energy.

Espeon: Usually attacks if against a G&G deck. If not up against a G&G deck, he's still very helpfull because it gives all of your Eeveelutions and extra +20 HP.

Umbreon: Rarely attacks. Usefull if you have to send up your Leafeon Lv.X and then retreat it. It techs against Banette [SW].

Eevee: And last but not least, this little guy. A start with Eevee will let you collect all other Eevees.

Therefor, M&Ms will become Archetypes and expect to see plenty of these at Battle Roads and possibly Nationals. You can see a lot of lists already in the Deck Help and St rategy Forum.

Eeveelutions, or M&Ms, will, in my oppinion, become an Archetype. While their are many sceptics, I want to state my reasons WHY I think Eeveelutions will be an Archetype.

A) From my testing, Eeveelutions has a pretty strong matchup against G&G/PLOX. Glaceon Lv.X will rip through it, and Glaceon Lv.X should be your priority, followed by Espeon, then Leafeon Lv.X, and finally Umbreon. Umbreon can also be set up at the same time as Leafeon, but anyway, back on topic. Glaceon Lv.X not only spreads damage so that Gardevoirs/Gallade are more in KO range, and helping against Bring Down, it also stops Telepass, Teleportation, and Dark Palm. All of which are key parts in G&G's strategy. Oh, and also Claydol.

B) There is SO MUCH synergy between the 4 Eeveelutions (Leafeon Lv.X, Glaceon Lv.X, Umbreon, and Espeon). Espeon gives +20 HP to Eeveelutions, which helps against Bring Down, and also obviously increases how long the Eeveelutions live. Also, G&G has Weakness to it, so you can abuse Lake Boundary here. Umbreon gives Free Retreat, which can be very helpful in swarming with Eevees, and no Weakness, which can also be very useful, to stop Magmortar from absolutly destroying all the Leafeons you send up. It also can stall with Confusion, and Banette and Dusknoir have Weakness to it. Leafeon Lv.X speeds up Energy Acceleration, attaching an Energy from your hand, and can easily be doing 130 damage. Glaceon Lv.X spreads damage, setting up KOs, 2HKOs everything played, AND stops Powers. On top of that, Magmortar has Weakness to it.

C) It's very consistent, due to Eevee's Call For Family attack. It allows you to get out Eevees fast, so half the work is done. Then, Ceilio's, Claydol, and Premier Ball take it all the way. Also, everything except for Claydol Evolve from the same thing, so...

Also, here's some things about the deck...

CLAYDOL IS A MUST! You need this card, it helps with consistency soooo much. Without it, I don't think the deck could function very well.

Beach is GREAT! Slow down your opponent's Energy Accel!

No Starter other then Eevee is needed! Since Eevee sets you up so well, you really don't need another Starter. Phione is the only viable one.

good job trying to ko my gallade with 4 plus power on espeon and if u have the lake boundry out umm cessation ko no powers. but yea glaceon lvx is a beast

This deck will make certain big decks see less play which will allow certain other decks that can beat it to see more play. Hiyo! So yeah, bring on the Eevees.

Omastar, Wager. Since all of your pokemon are stage 1,s you are left with a field full of fighting weak basics.
Other than that, good job.

Latilock wrecks Glaceon Lv.X, Umbreon and Espeon. The eeveelutions don't have enough firepower either. Anything bulky such as 130HP pokémon aren't phased by very much. My personal favourite Eeveelution is actually Flareon. Slow down and 2HKO things by taking energy away.

I feel the Eeveelutions might fail to beat the random decks at tournaments since they might not have the weakness of the Pokemon they are facing, and the damage output of the eeveelutions is kind of low. Their HP is low too until you get Umbreon out.

The eeveelutions aren't that fast. Every eeveelution's second attack costs 3 energy, so you pretty much have to abuse DRE (or have Leafeon lv.X in play, which many won't be running) to even keep up with decks that abuse energy accelerators like Typhlosion/Togekiss/etc.

There will be plenty of people trying eeveelutions at BRs and Nationals, but I just feel there will be better decks come from MD than Eeveelutions.

Well, for all of you who think the Eeveelutions can do enough damage, LEAFEON LV.X. That thing is a BEAST! A couple times I could OHKO a Torterra Lv.X with it! 110 HP is a little low, but it can survive until you get Espeon out! It's so fun to watch all their careful planning of Bring Down go to waste! Leafeon Lv.X can OHKO a Gallade easily.

Omastar will not hurt it because: I can just evolve my Pokemon next turn! That easy! M&Ms only has stage 1s and does not require Rare Candy. Check in my Signature for an Eeveelutions list Prime. It has DREs and Scrambles.

the problem i see with eeveelutions is that at least half your eeveelution cards will be tied up in support roles rather than being main attacker. so you have your main attacker (which also probably has to be a level x), an espeon and umbreon as support (otherwise the main attacker is weak and vulnerable). this leaves only one more eevee to evolve (provided it isnt prized which it will be some 40% of games). now ideally this last eevee should be turned into your back up main attacker. but that leaves no room for any 'tech' evolutions which seem so important. also, if you have all 4 eevees out and a claydol on the bench now you are vulnerable to dusknoir's power. and even if you ignore these two glaring problems the fact remains that most decks will run 2 main attacker and 2 level x of that attacker -- so in a batch of 10-12 pokemon only TWO will really be effective fighters. if you also include the 2-2 claydol line that raises the number to 14-16 with only two main attackers.

i dont see how this is a formula for success.

revjewb: I do not ALWAYS use Umbreon. Only in special occasions. So, my bench will survive and can be:

x1 Claydol
x3 Eevee

Rev is right to an extent in that you can't have like 1-2 attackers. You need to concentrate on certain Eeveelutions and not run a ton of evolutions like the lists I've seen on here. You have to have a focus.

Yes, there are main attackers. They are Glacion and Espeon. Sometimes Leafeon too. I don't really understand your question....but....oh well.....

I agree. The decks should consist of either a a Leafeon base or a Glaceon base. Running both together seems not only inconsistant but the pros dont outweigh the cons nearly enough.

Leafeon/Lv.X is just a tech. It is not relyd on to do everything. Just used for certain occasions. I may take it out though.

The "Tech" is 4 evolution cards that steals a spot from one of your 4 basics that are used. Doesnt sound like a necessary tech to me.

and then the lv. x's won't be in the set and you will cry. IMO they might be an archetype but those cards need to be confirmed first.

Lutions will be good I think, easy to get the forms since they are bein released in theme decks which is nice but the lvxs will be hard to get.

4-2-2-1-1-1-1 Glaceon/Glaceon Lvx/Leafon/Leafon X/Espeon/Umberon i think would be a better line.
