I'm sorry, but it's more wrong, not to mention completely unacceptable to me, to miss out on something like Darkrai solely because of laziness on the parts of the event organizers.

I know what you mean.
You need to put out in order to get it.
Now a days people want a cheese burger they go to Burger King or sonic and just order one.
I find its better and more rewaring to go out and cook your own.
It taste better knowing you put something into it.
(Plus its less fattning :thumb:)

Augh these dates look like Spring BR dates, I guess there's a good chance atleast one day will be free, if not, time to floor it during the lunch break, lol.

thats the plan here. when the manaphy event came, it was durring a battle road. at lunch, everybody gave me their DS cats and i downloaded for everybody. i do the same at worlds every year so far.

Darkrai sure took his sweeet time getting to us tho.

On topic-ocity, I haven't Member Passed with AR, nor Oak's Letter'd or Azure Flute'd. I hope for the same Japanese Darkrai, or one with even better moves.
 
In the Back of the June 2008 Nintendo Power it mentions the Darkrai Event as Follows

"To help Celebrate the May 27th DVD release of Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai, Toys R Us is Hosting a special event for Pokemon fans. On Saturday May 31 and Sunday June 1, between noon and 4pm, All Toys R Us stores in the United States will distribute the Pokemon Darkrai, the Mysterious new Dark type Pokemon appearing in the movie, to anyone who brings in his or her DS along with a Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl Game card. (In order to add Darkrai to your copy of Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, make sure you've obtained the Pokedex in your game.) On top of that, all DS games will be $5 off and the following GBA Pokemon titles will be 40% off: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Pokemon Sapphire, and Pokemon Emerald."

Now they say they will "Distribute" Darkrai, which sounds to me that you will Not get the in Game Event item. But rather you will most likely get Darkrai Transfered in much like the Manaphy Event at Toys R Us last yr. Is that what it sounds like to everyone else?

If that sounds right (which I doubt), then if a person brings 2 games, then Darkrai could be transfered into both. But how would that affect "soft-resetting?"

How many could you get?
 
I copied it from the Magazine, i'm only guessing based on what it said. As for getting more than one, yes it's possible. When i went to the Manaphy one, i got two. They did the Transfer in groups of like 4-5 People. So when i got mine, and saved it i quickly switched in my other game and got one on that cart also. We really didn't need to do it in such small groups, but they were afraid that if they did too many at a time, that some wouldn't get the transfer. I heard of some people driving by the store and getting the Transfer. Basically they just sent out the signal, and you had to set your game up to recieve it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same deal with Darkrai. That we will get Darkrai in the Special Pokeball with a Ribbon. Go talk to the Guy in Green in the Pokemart. Which you can save in front of him, and reset until you get the nature you want. That's what i did with Manaphy.
