ok. for everyone who has seen underworld, or just have common sence in these things know that vampires and lycans (werewolves) have been at war for over a thousend years acording to myth.

now if a vampire and a lycan where to have offspring, a mix of vampire and lycan, what would that breed be called?

i have heard several names. Lycanthopire, Wharepire and others.

what would you call that breed of species?

I don't know, i've never heard of them breeding before. Your guesses are probably all you're gonna get here. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I wonder what features would exhibit dominance and whether certain traits could even be successfully passed on. It might just happen to form a mule-type offspring or maybe even a deformed hybrid creature whose cross-dominance yielded a very sick and fragile animal.

I really doubted the idea of Underworld 2's male hero to be able to do what he did. What are the chances of the blood incorporating both new mutations perfectly and in no way inhibiting the creature?

Werepyre is the commonly used name for it. And I agree with Ryan, the odds of two completely different species bieng able to breed is slim, the odds of them both bieng able to pass on their genes and not pass on anything that inhibits or kills the hybrid is slim to none.

Ecto-Wrathes?

Yeah, Werewolfs are creatures. Depending on the type of vampire you wanna look at, the vampire might be intelligent. Or he might not. If your looking at the classic black and white, the vampire will be intelligent. 30 Days of Night vampires? Maybe not so much.

Creatures can't exactly mate with intelligent beings that have wills of their own.

In the interest of maintaining the G-PG status of this board, we cannot go into how, or why. Anyway, if mating were to take place, either the werewolf or the vampire insticts and charactaristics, would be defeating by the other. I tend to think the vampire would take over the majority of the end product, as usually vampires are more intelligent, and in my opinion, stronger.

So bottom line, I really don't think you can get the full, creative answers you want from people on THIS particular website.

Even if there happened to be a half-breed, the kid is screwed. Vampires will hate it, werewolves will hate it, and humans will hate it.

Chance of survival: 0%.

You sure, with all the nutty otaku anime fans in this world, there has to be some nut job who finds an anthropomorphic dog boy/girl with little fangs, cute.
